  1. Perhaps for the same reason you stalk MLG? Just saying.
  2. Absofookinlutely! Nail on head moment. Ticketing policy maker at Saints now must be a complete and utter numpty. As a ST holder before Christmas I asked to purchase my ticket and THREE others, but no I was told I had to wait for general sale to get more tickets. Well what do you know, I bought different Christmas presents for my lads - and today I see empty seats all around the ground and no atmosphere. Idiots at best.
  3. Completely agree with the OP. The atmosphere in the ground today was absolutely DIRE. To give so many tickets to Chelski is one thing, but to give them a significant area of seats where our most vocal home supporters are situated was almost like giving them an extra player. It certainly didn't provide an 'FA Cup' type atmosphere - it was as flat as pancake and the team needed lifting by the crowd after their 2nd goal. Huge gaff IMO. Frankly if that's what we've got to look forward to win or lose, I'm just not going to bother spending my hard earned - if the club can't be arsed to sort it out why the hell should I bother?
  4. Got to say, this sounds too good to be true, so I'll believe it only when I see it on OS.
  5. What is it with us and LB's?! Good news though.
  6. Really don't think But land is a good purchase at £6m. Why not wait until Brum drop into L1? He'll be available for £1-2m then. Buy Robinson now.
  7. Who knows, but one thing is for sure, there are points to be taken from some very winnable games.
  8. Overall I think I agree with this POV.
  9. There are some OP's and threads that deserve derision - and this is one of them.
  10. Best all round performance of the season IMO. Everyone played really well and Adkins got the tactics spot on.
  11. GUOTE=Saints boy in Leed67557]I agree its a lot of doller but some players cost £45 million alone. If we want to mix it up with the big boys we can't do it with the current squad. IMO we only need a GK, CB, LB, and CF. Why do we need a LB when we've got arguably the best young LB in the UK playing for us and a decent backup in Fox??? Agree that a GK (Robinson), CB, CF are all important, but also a Lallana/Puncheon type wide man is also needed. The key is in the quality and experience of signings though- critical to survival hopes that we get better than what we have.
  12. No. And even if he did (they deserved it not supporting their own players), it didn't seem to harm his chances getting Club Captain position did it? Proof enough for me. Boruc has not fitted in despite his credentials - free up the wage bill and get someone in who gives a damn.
  13. Robinson - all the way. Gazza for the future. Ship out Boruc - hardly a role model like KD.
  14. Looks like Steeeeeve De Ridder. Not needed.
  15. We need to bully them and that means midfield 3 being completely on top of their game - anything less and we'll be toast. Mind you, it's going to take a real miracle to come away with any points from this game. They outclass us all over the pitch and play in a similar fashion with that quality - i.e. keep ball. Chances are going to be very few and far between which means clinical finishing. Oh well. Mmm, probably 1-5 or similar.
  16. LOL - nice - yes, in the right context.
  17. Unless Gazza is on his way out, I would say Robinson is a better bet at the moment.
  18. Thanks - you've said almost exactly what I was going to say. Good post.
  19. Simply don't agree. Kelvin may not be the best, but at the moment the best thing Adkins can do is keep the back 5 as consistent as he possibly can. They need match time together to forge an understanding in different scenarios. Changing things around in each of the thirds is not IMO the way to success.
  20. Once again misquoted by a numpty who can't read. I wrote... 'not skillful enough with the ball at his feet on the run'. He is not a dribbler of the ball - it doesn't happen. Does that help?
  21. Yoshi is getting better I would venture and certainly him and Fonte are the 1st choice CB's for the time being. Did a great job at right-back to be fair, evening getting forward on the overlap on a couple of occasions.
  22. Can't believe the Butland story is still around. We must be planning to spend a sh1t-load in January if true.
  23. Exactly this. And where was Lambert to score the goal? Lurking at the back post. A typical goal for him and well taken, however it doesn't remove the fact that he isn't mobile enough or skillful enough with the ball at his feet on the run to be ultimately the level of striker we will need to push on. For that reason alone, we will need to upgrade at some stage (not 'drop him' as suggested above).
  24. Really? I'd never have even guessed that - thanks.
