  1. @ReadingFC Reading FC Official Home fixture against Birmingham is moved back 24 hours due to City's Europa League commitments. Now scheduled for Sun 6th Nov, kick off 3pm. Not on TV that one, I know.

    Sam Baldock

Been told on Twitter we're one of a number of clubs after him.
  3. Surprise surprise, a potential signing is already not good enough for some people. And those who think we'd have a hope in hell of signing Scott Dann need their head looking at. Adkins would have scouted him and wouldn't even think about bringing him in if he wasn't up to the standard of playing alongside Fonte week in, week out.
  4. And what? He isn't Chris from Soccer AM.
  5. Davis, Seaborne, Cork and Lambert all had very good games.
  6. Would give Davis an 8 at least for a couple of cracking saves. Seaborne was generally decent, won most things in the air. Lambert was brilliant-so sharp.
  7. My woeful attempt: (To the tune of- "he's fat, he's round, he bounces on the ground...") "He's french, he's class, he picks out every pass...Schneiderlin...Schneiderlin! "
  8. at the whole video but he doesn't even attempt to pronounce Lallana at 3.16 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9r9htRngnQ Most obvious inbred alive.
  9. The consensus among Football fans that they have good support is such a myth. One d*ck with a bell and them clapping along with it is not an atmosphere. They couldn't sell out a under 20,000 seater stadium in the Premier League on a lot of occasions in their last season there which says it all.
  10. Put it this way - I didn't expect us to start THIS well. We haven't played who I expect to be in the top 2/3 yet but I think we can clearly compete with teams hoping for the play-offs like Ipswich.
  11. I think he said on SSN that he didn't want to sell Chamberlain but price was high and Cortese decided to let him go.
  12. He took over in September last year and we've lost just ONE league game at home since then. Our record since he's arrived is terrific and I rate him so highly because of the professional way he goes about everything. When he comments on studying previous games and the next opposition, you just know he's done it impeccably. Not afraid to shake it up tactically either and the signings have been sensible. He's probably not as open as we'd like him to be in interviews but I can't remember being this optimistic as a Saints fan for a long, long time - if ever. Even under Pardew I was always a bit unsure. Bring on what should be a very enjoyable season with a great squad and management from the boardroom down!
  13. Who does everyone want? Pompey?....Oh. Are we seeded? Arsenal, Birmingham City, Chelsea, Fulham, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Stoke City do not enter the competition until the third round stage due to their European involvement. Ties are scheduled for the week commencing August 22.
  14. This window has been fantastic..only set to get better too!
  15. Luke Shaw or Ward-Prowse I would have thought.
  16. £12 million...laughing all the way to the bank.
  17. WTF was up with Lonergan too? Ran over like a d.ck and got himself booked when Fonte landed awkwardly on his neck/head.
  18. I think the Ref just couldn't put up with that cheating, whining little sh*t Gradel in his ear any longer so gave it. Looked a handball in real time but not on the replays.
  19. Anyone actually wondered that he might be the featured interview inside, so, like every home programme, the feature is on the front? Someone coming on here without seeing the cover would think that he's holding up a burning Saints shirt and laughing judging by certain reactions. Some users on here are probably delighted at this, now they have a reason to criticise further. It'll be 'bring back Lowe' next. Jesus f*cking christ.
  20. No wonder he couldn't keep the ball, having to pass it from that distance!
  21. Apparently Forecast told some kids behind the goal to f*ck off. They're about 9. Tells you all you need to know about him basically.
  22. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/5794285/Spurs-sign-former-Arsenal-youngster-Anton-Blackwood.html ?
  23. Conflicting reports on Jemal... Tunisian press saying he's close to signing: (August 1st) http://www.kooora.com/?n=119490 ""Confirmed defender Tunisian Ammar Jamal professional club Young Boys, that is currently in England for the recent talks about the process of moving to a club of Southampton, who won climb to the second division of the English Leagues. The subject in connection with talks he held on Monday, a medical is expected to continue negotiations with the English club may be signing the contract in the next few hours" And French media saying he's been rejected a work permit: http://stadebrestois29.fr/la-piste-ammar-jemal-relancee (August 2nd) "A few weeks ago, the Tunisian Young Boys Bern, Ammar Jemal, was again approached. The player must engage with Southampton (D2 English), but obviously he can not get his residence permit, the player could then fall back to Brest above Guyot announced today that in Ouest-France new defender could sign today or tomorrow." Not sure what the last bit of that means though
