  2. He might be enjoying a 16 inch stretch soon enough....
  3. The Vine was fine, but packed inside. Convenient though for close by parking and then quick walk to the ground alongside the light railway line.
  4. Jaap Stam?
  5. I got tickets in the home section a couple of years ago (Rickie penalty in injury time). It was fine, we got sussed out, but no fisticuffs. Docile bunch.
  6. Watch out for bedbugs....
  7. They're back in Vegas in April...that was fast! Saw them here only a few months ago, same venue - swimming pool looking down on the Strip. Very cool. I see from setlist.com they're (understandably) incorporating more of El Pintor into the gig. Not totally won over by it, of course a few decent songs but not really anything as good as TOTBL or Antics. Last summer they played a lot more of their classic stuff (before the album was released) and it was amazing. Wishing they'd do Obstacle 1 a bit more....
  8. I've seen cheap Refurb lenovos here. Am about to get myself a refurb dell Latitude. Managed to get my son's laptop running. It was the hd. Minecraft is alive and kicking.
  9. Perfectly poised at Anfield for a 90 min Kane equaliser
  10. ohhhh, Leicester please!

If you or the mrs like medieval stuff, Cluny museum on the left bank shouldn't be missed.
  12. It would be very amusing and original if it happened. I hope someone does this.
  13. What would Shane want his head for? Is it an Irish thing?
  14. That's so obviously a photoshop fake. On FM he wears Medium.
  15. Arry's been wheelin' 'n dealin' again innit.
  16. I know they're cheap but I am not 100% yet that it is the HDD, I'll check it later on another machine. thanks
  17. Thanks folks. I'm going to test the hard drive in another laptop and hopefully if it's compatible, should tell me if the drive is functioning. I understand that with such a cheap laptop, cheapest components are often used and it'll develop another fault sooner or later if I get it fixed. It's still mightily tempting to try to get it running again for $75 - it'd cost me three or four times that to replace the whole thing.
  18. My son's cheap lappy died the other day, only about a year old. It cost me $170 new. I won't find another similar one for anything near that price at the moment. Indications are that the hard drive is about to give up. It's not making the dreaded clicking sound yet and sounds fine. The OS will not load up. BIOS readouts say the HD is critical and it can not boot windows. Silly me didn't burn recovery disks when it was working. My question is, how likely is it that it's just the HD dying and not anything else like a motherboard? I want to do it on the cheap and dont mind forking out $40 for new drive and $35 to HP for a set of sodding windows recovery disks. But I'm not spending any money for some geek to look at it for $75 before anything has been done to it. Shall I go ahead, buy the stuff and try the install? What would you do?

  20. Need to tune into some American NBC broadcasts - they love us, especially Robbie Earle and the yummy Rebecca Lowe.
  21. Packers catastrophically cocked up on Sunday in game they should have to put to bed after half time. Quite devastating to watch my distraught Packers fan son witness it. Hopefully his second team, Saints, will do something nice in May!
  22. This foolish man played them a little too far. (Interesting to see how vindictive these ****s can be) http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2013-04/11/malwarebytes
  23. Yes, it was only a ten year ban that started in 1994. It also suffered from many loopholes allowing the manufacturers a way around making their wares legal. Come 2004, there wasn't enough support to renew it. Clever.
  24. We only used to get the odd one now and again but I've had the call too many times recently for my liking, always late into the evening. Blocking the bogus caller IDs is a quick fix only until new numbers are generated and 'called from'. Does anyone else suffer calls from these motherfunners?
