  1. Completely agree with this, apart from that five minutes yesterday I have been bored silly at every home game so far. Obviously 4th in the league is great, but I'm not really feeling that buzz yet. We just seem to be lacking ideas in the final third, one goal all season from open play all season. Hope it clicks soon as the talent is certainly there.
  2. No goal threat yet again, this type of performance is becoming the norm. Far from convinced by Pochettino.
  3. A bit cringeworthy.
  4. Adkins was the best Saints manager in my lifetime, and I certainly will never forget his time here and wish him all the best. As for MP, he still has much to prove. We were rubbish for the last two months of last season.
  5. Well I have ordered one and will wear it to home games.
  6. What does having an opinion on a player have to do with support? I always give plenty of vocal support and certainly don't join in with any booing at matches, I hate any negativity like that. I just simply don't think Fox is good enough to play in the PL, and given Shaw's poor record with injuries, we could be relying on him quite a lot this season, which worries me.
  7. I am amazed at how many people think Fox is "perfectly good enough" at left back. His positional sense is non-existant, I thought he was our weak link in the Championship, and is nowhere near PL quality. Fair enough it's a game of opinions, but mine is that if we have to start with Fox for a number of games we will be conceding plenty of goals.
  8. I remember his comments very well upon leaving, they were much along the same lines as Redkrapp's when he returned to the Skates about not really wanting to be here and couldn't wait to get out. It was a real kick in the teeth for the fans who payed his wages after having to put up with such an awful season and thus I have given him plenty of stick when he's returned. However if those comments are genuine then fair play to him, it was all a long time ago now and should probably be left in the past.
  9. Liverpool for so many reasons, and Brighton for their moronic fans.
  10. Looks worse every time I see it. How have they managed to make such a mess of it??
  11. He's good on FIFA!
  12. Full back should be our No.1 priority imo, Clyne and Shaw won't play every game and we need someone capable of coming in and doing a good job. Fox is nowhere near PL quality, Targett hasn't been taken to Spain so can't be that close to being ready for the first team, and the likes of Cork, Maya, Chambers would all be playing out of position. I don't think we necessarily need to spend millions, and although acting as cover, whoever came in would still get plenty of game time. We don't seem too worried about overloading in midfield so I'm not sure why this would be a problem at full back. It is a squad game these days.
  13. One of my favourite players during our time in the lower leagues, whilst the club progresses it is sad we have to say goodbye to players like Chappie. If it wasn't for that injury at Bristol City and he had maintained his form he could easily have been our player of the season in the Championship. Thanks and all the best in your future career!
  14. Can't freakin wait, will be the best game ever I think.
  15. Home kit is terrible on every level imo. Away kit looked ok in the mock up yesterday, but seeing it today with that huge V neck has even made that look horrid. And charging £50 for a generic design?? Feck off Adidas. Stripes again for me next season.
  16. Awful. It'll be the Championship promotion shirt again for me next season.
  17. Likewise, good fun though and only got one country wrong! 13641 http://tinyurl.com/ctgcup3
  18. What a cringeworthy thread, I can't believe how precious some people are. I'd have thought there's something wrong with Bale if he hadn't celebrated. He had just scored a huge goal for his team, the fact it was against the side he left six years ago is irrelevant. Football's supposed to be a man's game FFS, let him celebrate all he wants.
  19. Agree with this, though I don't think it's just this season. I used to think we had one of the best home atmospheres in the country, sadly that's no longer the case, the last few years it has declined rapidly. SMS just seems to be full of middle class yuppies these days.
  20. Just because he may have got the three red cards right, doesn't mean he had a good game. He got almost everything else wrong. He was not the reason we lost though.
  21. Ok then, pay it in a lump sum so he can find new employment, and everyone can move on.
  22. FFS Cortese just pay Nige what he is owed, it's the least he deserves. The sacking was shameful enough, let's not drag it out any further. I will always love the club, but I'm finding it difficult to like it lately.
  23. In a nutshell. Enjoyed last season much more than this season. Better atmosphere, winning more games, affordable tickets, just a better match day experience imo. At the end of the day I go to watch Saints not the opposition. The Premier League is soulless and ridiculously over hyped and I wouldn't be too bothered to see us back in the Championship.
  24. Still incredibly angry. Cortese will get hell from me on Monday.
