You can't have a complete media blackout in this day and age. Two things - firstly there is no mention or gossip on players we are interested in and secondly the Clyne/Morgan stories are a clear indication the club want both sorted one way or another pretty smartish. I think this means Clyne will go, Liverpool have more money than sense and if he wants to join that circus then good luck to him. As for Morgan, I'm still not convinced Arsenal or United will meet our valuation. That should mean he stays but I can't see him being happy doing that.

Wanting to leave and having someone meet the club's valuation are totally different things of course.

He also came to us injured so was always playing catch up. It's not easy playing a few minutes here or there and he never really got a decent run of games. Had a couple of dodgy games but I have seen far worse in a Saints shirt in central defence........mind you having seen Ollie Lancashire play for Saints that might be a back handed compliment

He has four options of which Chelsea is a no go, Man City, who knows what they think, Arsenal appear to be distancing themselves from the 25 million being asked and Man Utd supposedly have him down as second choice if you believe the press. He has narrowed down his options. Be interesting to see what he does if the big four dont come in for him.....

Would you have thought the Europa League was possible, gained through League position, two or three years ago ? There are many teams in the Champions League who cant compete with the likes of Barcelona, much much bigger clubs than us. I dont expect us ever to be able to win the Champions League, getting into the competition and playing through the group stage would be enough for me to be honest. That may happen one day, but not yet.

As far as I and many on here were concerned we knew that they had to pay us back 1.5 million if they took him back but not that they had to pay us this 3 million if they sold him to another club. the whole point being if we bid 12 million any other suitors would need to bid 15 million to match us.
