  1. Thanks Mr Lynam. and relax...............and breathe................and eff off all you **** stirrers !!
  2. Quite surprised at you Phil to be honest. Didn't think you would give it quite so much "air time" !!
  3. Hopefully to discuss his old job as Academy Director !!
  4. Thats why the next two weeks could be long ! The lawyers will take their time and hit their deadline, but not a minute before, meanwhile people will carry on stirring all sorts of rubbish until the thing is signed, sealed and delivered.
  5. Excellent idea, I have now done that - thanks for reminding me about the option : - )
  6. because trolls like 19C have to concern themselves with every thread that runs here and generally has to argue with what anyone and everyone says. Ban him and we might have a better chance of argument free threads : - )
  7. he has told us the investor will take a back seat, TL will have a major hand in running the club and that MLT will most likely be chairman. What are you ? Thick ?
  8. Like we had a choice under the Visionary that was Sir Rupert Of ****-Up ? You really give my arse a ****in headache troll.
  9. Just like buying a house then !!
  10. That is rich coming from you of all people.
  11. Thought it was common knowledge that Andrew Cowan was the mastermind behind St Marys ? Check your facts pal. Oh, by the way, dont forget we only ended up there cos your hero moved the goalposts over Stoneham and wanted a bloody hotel, cinema and god knows what else chucked into the mix !!
  12. The main difference is Shearer is manager up there and as so is responsible for the team, the tactics, the motivation of players etc etc. Matt will not have that role, that will be down to whoever he/they select as manager. Niall Quinn doesnt get ripped to bits when Sunderland are **** poor and Matt will be, I believe, in a similar role to him. So really comparing the two is not relevant.....besides the Geordies treat football as their religion, I think we are a tad more reserved down here !
  13. Hartlepool away.........as long as Mr Stelling isnt given the chance to get his James Brown doll out !!!
  14. I think remembering Matt's reaction on Sky when Wotte was given the job, and the subsequent failure of getting us out the bottom three, the chances of Wotte being manager next season are slim. Managing/Overseeing the Academy - Yes. Manager of first team - No.
  15. Providing the takeover comes to fruition just consider the 400k as additional transfer funds. You can buy two or three decent players at this level for that money......given a manager who is familiar with this league !!!
  16. Obviously I dont know but I wouldnt think that was far off the mark. It all seemed to escalate from the doom and gloom meeting Fry had with SMS staff Thursday lunchtime to the announcement mid Friday afternoon.
  17. Thats bought tears to my eyes ! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou !! COME ON YOU SAINTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ps - could we knock down West Quay and have a statue built of MLT that can be seen across the whole of the south coast of England ?? : - )
  18. Its possible I guess. Until the people/person behind the bid shows their face(s), which will presumably be when the deal is done and dusted, we will just have to speculate and guess. Speculation and guesswork ? This forum is great at that : - )
  19. Didnt he say at season end that if need be he would be quite happy to go back to his Academy role ? I dont see a problem with him doing that to be honest, he just shouldnt be first team manager.
  20. After the years of waiting for something to happen on a Friday I guess it had to be in the end didnt it ? Seems strange Fry has a meeting with staff yesterday then just 24 hours later we get this !! Something obviously moved very quickly......any help from these Swiss people I wonder ?
  21. Its only 10 mins prog cos of the champions league final. Best off with old Roger on South Today again...who will be full of Skate news no doubt !!!
  22. There is no way he is too good for League 1. He probably THINKS he is but until he gets either a decent work ethic or develops the skills of a Le Tissier he is not too good. He ISN'T good enough for the Premier League either.....but if he improves his attitude he may be one day.
  23. As a fellow Weymouthian I tend to agree with a lot you say but to be honest I think you are way off with this one. It is a good few soundbites I'll grant you, he is saying the right things BUT he said a lot of the right things before matches last season and when push came to shove we were **** and he was left tactically sadly lacking. No problem with him going back to his academy job as he hinted at when the season ended, but manager to get us out of League 1 (in the right direction) ? Nope.
  24. Ok nick, then take out the one you mean and have the other two sit round a table and put in a bid ! : - )
