My boss is a Pompey fan and a bit of a wind up merchant. He has been unusually quiet today, none of his usual snide comments about Saints that are intended for me to hear. Of course it may have something to do with me tapping his Pompey mug as i left last night and saying "enjoy your moment in the sun, the road back to regain our place as top team in the South starts here" !!!

Like him or hate him the bottom line is that if Leon Crouch had not been here we would probably not have a Southampton Football Club now that we can all look forward to with a bright future. He deserves thanks for all the money he has contributed to keep this club alive. If you dont like him then keep a diginified silence and just remember that like it or not he is partly responsible for our club still being alive.

Oldknow hinted at the right management on and off the field last night.....and for all the right things he has done over the summer in holding it together when the crunch came and it was putting a team out on the pitch with the right tactics Wotte showed time and again last season he wasnt the right man for this club or English football IMHO. Now with my rarely worn optimistic hat on I would hope that this will be pretty straightforward given all they have to do is agree there is nobody shady on their proposed Board of Directors list and that the contract just accepting the -10 points AND NO OTHER PENALTY, as per their defnce statement when Pinnacle accused them of pulling the rug from under them, can then be issued and signed.....and hey presto !!! If he pitched up on a few threads then you could use the argument that he is just a fan with a different opinion. But he pitches up on nearly every thread and argues the toss on each and every one. That is not just having a differing opinion, that is being argumentative and attention seeking. Just all put him on ignore if you dont like his ramblings, though like i said it doesnt completely work but it gets rid of 75% of his "views"

Well he ticks most if not all those boxes. Even with him being on my ignore list I still cant escape him (as his ramblings often appear in quote form on responses) as he hi-jacks every thread, argues with just about anyone (oh sorry, has a different opinion to just about everyone) and is now in the business of including MLT in his ever growing list of targets who seem to be just about anyone except you know who !! I am sick to the back teeth of reading a thread which soon turns into farce and shoots completely off topic when he appears. And to be honest if you have him on ignore and see three or four posts in a row from him blanked out it looks quite funny, like he is having a little rant all to himself.

Given that they will cost about £65 million more than us to buy and the level of expectancy for greatness beyond their wildest dreams would be there from Day 1 from 60,000 screaming Geordies............no.
