  1. Me and a mate had no problems in the Denmark Arms last season, not far from East Ham station and squeezed in a bad game of pool. No idea what it'll be like on a Saturday afternoon though.
  2. Was Guly taking one for the team and was he secretly driving drunk that evening?
  3. He should have been sent off against Reading too...
  4. It's a well known fact that Chaplow, despite a criminal lack of skill on the ball, is an amazing tackler and all the times he has been booked/sent off are because the refs out to get him and his passion because they want "true footballers" to be stamped out of the modern game...
  5. This thread http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?38914-Premier-League-Away-Matches-Ticket-Prices covers speculation on ticket prices for away days. Liverpool is apparently £42 which is a fair bit. Got trains sorted for about £20 though as booking now will save loads!
  6. Wont even be on sale for another 4 weeks or so (seeing as West Brom away go on sale on Wednesday, 3 or so weeks before the game). Could just make general sale seeing how far away it is, but it is a 3pm kickoff and Liverpool is a funny day out so it'll be popular. (Feel everyone who did a trip to Tramere should be given an extra pat on the back point)
  7. Good, at least he has some sort of realism to where West Ham could end up, unlike almost every pundit in England who have them down as safe midtable already. This is one of the away games we know we can turn up and stand a good chance of all three points provided we play right, but if we do it badly (including have more random mistakes) we can go home with nothing... Would still take a draw right now.
  8. Had it in my head Simpsons and Perch were, no idea why as Simpson is ex-United and Perch was at Forest. Both Shola and Sammy Ameobi have been though their academy as well as Steve Harper has been there since he was 18 (close enough to academy sort of product after loitering about the place long enough). Keep thinking Giggs and Scholes have retired (but I'm guessing that's just a prediction thing). Just shows not many teams produce that many academy players for the prem, Liverpool's 7 being a bit of an exception (though looking at where they are in the league it might not be so desirable).
  9. whey! 17th november and 2nd march, plenty of time for that to be announced.
  10. After watching England last friday I thought this had started to happen to Chamberlain too Really let down to see him play more and more like Theo and less like the quality kid he was for us.
  11. In a longer time scale its very achievable, provided we keep doing the team spirit and positive attitude thing at the club (ie resist mad ego's and squad disruption). As a sub thought how many teams have a high percentage of academy graduates in their first team? (ie from their academy to their own first team). At first guess Newcastle I thought would be the highest, seeing as quite a few Man United academy players have been sold off recently...
  12. Only thing missing for the game was Redknapp managing Spurs. Biggest let down of the summer was him leaving Spurs as we wanted to spend 90 mins hurling abuse at him and missing the game... (the move to sunday sort of ruins that dream as well)
  13. You have seen his twitter stuff and his general behaviour? He's no John Terry but still a ghastly individual. Good footballer though, just at 31 doesn't fit our player profile (which amusingly Abramovich is copying!)
  14. That's the one I was thinking about, Fulham got it because Blackpool got relegated that season as well.
  15. It's how Fulham got in last season...
  16. Why are United so high? They don't show any respect towards the ref...
  17. Maybe his own post
  18. Oh Greenman Gaming had it for £19.50 with this code GMGFM-C7BEY-U0PMY There is another one that made it £22.50 (depends on which codes work)
  19. That's been long running, just finding new ways to embarrass its self
  20. Good you are bored. Shame you don't see we have purchased some excellent players for the positions open in the squad. In no incidence this summer have we bought a squad player or just a fill in player. Every single player also commands a big resale value than we paid for them for every single what if at the end of the season. So if at christmas we are sold and need cash, all our new players will command massive fee's, relegated next summer, all of our new players will command huge fees that we don't even have to accept because of the contract they are bound too (Punch shows how much we value these contracts). The biggest comparison to the transfer activity we could have done is looking at Readings. They bought 9 players, 7 squad players, all champ standard cb's, rb's and midfielders. Plus they wasted millions of quid on a striker who is universally known to be rubbish, if Fulham told him to go away and stop being silly, Reading should have known not to bother. I stand by our transfer activity could have been a little better (Olson not coming in at LB was the only let down) but in reality we came out with some very tidy and exciting players, to label it as a "mis-guided cluster-f*ck" is just madness! We have bought with the intention of becoming a successful prem team, we could have bought to be an average prem team and been relegated like West Ham 2 years ago instead...
  21. We had a good away day out to Stevenage New season ticket card is really useful to carry about We are not managed by arry or fat sam
  22. Best day, was going to go either way to ensure first priority Liverpool tickets but £15 is just perfect. Should be a good crowd for a monday night tv game!
  23. I like turtles. And would rather have Gaston than Scott Dann and Rodger Johnson for the same money.
  24. We have used hoof against hoof teams, Fulham and villa are both terrible hoof teams (and the mess against Wigan was the same sort of deal). Terrible as we score most our goals away from hoof.
