  1. Not serious, apparently http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/16414078.southampton-manager-mark-hughes-on-stuart-armstrong/?ref=rss
  2. Way better than last season in the second half. I'll take that. Lemina, Ings, and McCarthy were excellent; Redmond actually looked like a decent footballer; and Bertrand and Armstrong were class.
  3. 4-4-2 ?
  4. This, unfortunately. Given that he's hardly played for many years, I don't see what basis the club have to even make an assessment of his ability.
  5. They have a middling playing budget for a League 1 team, and this is their level. Whatever their entitled supporters think, even reaching the League 1 playoffs is an ambitious target for them.
  6. A current England striker isn't good enough for Saints? Seriously? Your expectations are certainly high...
  7. No, but he was when he won the Euro
  8. Bet365 will be showing it, though not in the UK, I think. In any case, there should be some streams.
  9. Length of contract also has a part to play
  10. I can understand that, it's sad but I'd suggest you keep them to yourself. You seem to get a lot of grief on here generally, perhaps you should just stop posting? Hardly seems worth the hassle.
  11. Well, if Les can extort £15m for him, then I think he's a genius.
  12. In what possible universe is Matt Targett worth 15m quid? The world's gone mad.
  13. Like both those teams, and I don't get the doom and gloom on here. I'm expecting us to do better than last season.
  14. If Everton can get 12 million for their discards, I don't get how we sell some of our best players for less and are unable to get 3p for Fraser Forster
  15. I hope he stays, personally
  16. Neil Allen thinks it was the booze what won it (the Div 2 title) https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/the-boozy-pompey-pre-season-tour-which-made-champions-1-8571651

  18. Harrison Reed played successfully at right back for Norwich for much of last season. I can't see him breaking into Saints midfield, so if he's not going out on loan again, I would guess that this is his "path to the first team" as they say.

    Danny Ings

I bet the Dildo Brothers do
  20. Especially when it's a club owned by the Dildo brothers and you just know it's all going to go tits up somehow or other.
  21. W3 L3 D1 - not actually that brilliant really. Bizarre fixtures gave us an easy ride but England were still indifferent at best.
  22. It's called hyperbole, you dinlo
  23. Seems a bit of an odd one to me. It's hard to see why we'd spend 13.5m on a reserve keeper, or, alternatively, why we think we need a new first choice. If I was McCarthy, and Gunn came straight in as the new No1, I'd be extremely ****ed off. I can't imagine he didn't seek assurances about his status before signing an extension to his contract, either.
  24. Once Vestergaard signs I think this will be pretty much it as far as incoming transfers go for this window. If we can foist FF on someone, I'd expect us to bring another keeper in, and we may bring in some cheapo backup player as a right back, but that'll be that.
