  1. Back in the real world - development of Fratton Park actually consists in removing one of the floodlights they turned off in 2015. https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/floodlight-proposals-hint-at-portsmouth-s-plans-for-fratton-park-s-future-1-8884242

    4-2-2-2

This is kind of my feeling, although in the games I've seen, I've definitely thought we played better with three center backs. In his post match comments, Hasenhüttl made a big deal of it. He seemed to be saying that it worked well against teams that sat deep and were hard to break down. I expect we'll see something different against Liverpool.
  5. I wonder why they picked today to announce this: https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/portsmouth-announce-1-36m-losses-following-league-one-return-1-8870913

    4-2-2-2

I didn't get to see the Brighton game, but I read that we played Hasenhüttl's preferred 4-2-2-2 formation for the first time. Can someone explain what was different and how 4-2-2-2 works?
  7. Bollokz the guy's a genius
  8. Gabon failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations, so he'll have the whole summer to get over his injury

  10. Apparently JWP's heart remains in Portsmouth... https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/southampton-s-golden-boy-but-james-ward-prowse-s-heart-remains-in-portsmouth-1-8861569
  11. Now I really do believe you're a troll. Branfoot benched the most talented player I've ever seen pull on a Saints shirt, he was not a good manager.
  12. He doesn't look like he's anything like good enough, however, in an interview he gave recently he said he's suffered a series of injuries this season, so perhaps we'll see a new side of him if he gets a decent preseason under his belt. I can't see it happening, but there's always hope...

Austin too, surely, there were credible rumors of suitors for him during the winter, I thought.

  16. Reading that definitely reminds me of something
  17. This - Hoedt can do one though
  18. Yeah, cos poor people who stand up are racists
  19. What's on the big side is Brighton at 40-1 IMHO, they still have to face City, Arsenal and Spurs, and apart from the last two games their form has been very poor for some time.
  20. The guy's a ****ing genius.
  21. Quite agree. You never know, but I can't see us being relegated.
  22. Indeed - he's an unstoppable force at this level
  23. Never in doubt. We could have conceded but should have scored more. JWP man of the match.
  24. JWP really getting stuck in today - good to see
