J-Rod, Lallana, and Lambert probably won't get a break.

That's what he thought had happened.

Only just got online after sorting out the insurance claim because somebody tagged my car in a Lancaster car park a couple of hours ago, and the first thing I see is the penalty so that makes me feel better. COYS !!!!!

Check you political allegiance; an interesting test.

Crime, Education, Environment, Economy - Green ( 44.44% ) Health, Democracy, Europe - Labour ( 33.33% ) Immigration, Welfare - LibDem ( 22.22% ) Seems about right. ( Constituency has 774 responses :- 31% Green, 21% Labour, 17% LD, 13% Tory, 10% UKIP, 8% BNP - yet it's a Tory seat ) -
He only 'got caught' because his mate kept the camera video and 2 years later the Police found it on his home computer whilst investigating an unrelated incident. Why the f()ck would he have kept it ?

So presumably Yoshida & Hooiveld were ecstatic lining up alongside Fox ?

Not sure about that - "We are a little bit disappointed to be out of the cup because it was an important competition for us to provide minutes for our squad and for our youngsters who, as you know, we like to use. We have a squad and we need to use all the players and give minutes in this type of game because the season is so long. In the next couple of months, we have a very tough period of games and we need everyone in the best form because sure, it will be important for the rest of the season."

If we had won 2-1, and that isn't as far fetched as some on here seem to think, would you feel we were 'parodying' other teams. It's only a few seasons ago that we fielded a largely reserve team against premier league Blackpool in the cup - and beat them. Were we mickey taking then ?
-
Exactly. The team selection was 'conservative', and MoPo knew there was no pressure on him from the Don regarding the result. If Jos had actually been stood on the line, instead of behind it, their first might not have gone in, if Gaston hadn't left his shooting boots at home we could have had a half time lead. They fielded a stronger team in terms of experience, particularly in defence, and we had a couple of debutants, ( although we did also have Danny Fox and his phobia of the touchline ). In my opinion it was nowhere near as bad a performance as some on here are claiming, and there is no guarantee that we would win the next round even with a full strength 11.
-
If we had won last night would people still be questioning the selection policy ?
-
It's almost as if MoPO decided to give the 'wets' a chance to have a good moan, as they've been kept quiet for a while due to our League performances.

Diving is cheating? or okay if he's your player?

Would anybody have had a problem if J-Rod had been suspended by the club for 3 games after the Villa game last season ? -
And in some cases just plain damned incompetent.

You have to remember to take your electronic tag off as well.

[quote=View From The Top;1808171......but the thing I'm struggling with most is hand position. Can't quite figure out yet the most comfortable position that relieves the pressure. Are you wearing gloves/mitts ?

For what purpose ?
-
It says a lot about the attitude of the team when they see an away draw as 2 points lost.
-
Difficult away game, difficult conditions, freak opening 15 seconds. After that we were reasonably composed given the typically robust Stoke approach, were much the better side as we adapted to the wind and continued to play football, and can probably feel a little disappointed not to have won. Wanyama MOM.

65% possession according to the beeb.

Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-24742770 "Emissions from China increased by 3% but this was a significant slowdown compared to annual increases of around 10% over the past decade." "China also achieved exceptional growth in the use of hydropower for the generation of electricity, increasing capacity and output by 23% in 2012. This alone had the effect of curbing the country's emissions by 1.5%." -

What that report says is that CO2 in the Thermosphere, 80+ Km above the earth's surface, reflects excess radiation energy from solar storms back into space. It doesn't say anything about the Greenhouse Effect acting at lower levels. -
I've just ordered the special offer - the Gove book, the 'Keep calm and pretend it's on the lesson plan' mug, and The Ofsted Murders. That's the first bit of Mrs B's Christmas sorted.

Job centres attempts to encourage folk to go back to work fails
badgerx16 replied to Viking Warrior's topic in The Lounge
Surely the Job Centres should be able to filter the applicants in advance of submitting their details ? Their function is to get people into work and therefore to maximise the candidates chances by ensuring they have some sort of chance of being successful. How much time ( and money ) is wasted by employers having to process unnecessary paperwork and provide the feedback to enable the JCs to fill in their tick box sheets ? -

Because they are being honest ? If the Job Centres are prompting such applications then they are failing both the unemployed and the tax payer.
