I see even Blatter wants it now: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18520916 Unless it was a bad dream, I am always surprised when the goal line technology debate comes along that Mark Hughes (?) goal against Leeds (?) at The Dell never crops up - when the ball took the net with it, hit the advertising hoarding behind the goal and came striaght out again, with no Saints appealing and play continuing. I think we were 0-2 at the time so no cliff hanger though a surreal moment.

It seems to me once they have your credit card details you're fair game, as they can draw out what they please. I hired a car from Europcar, Naples airport for a week a few years ago with CDW. Returned it with no damage. Found an extra 500 Euros taken off my credit card on the next bill and queried this with Europcar UK who seemed to acknowledge that the Italians were good at this, but couldn't refund me the monies as they are separate company from Europcar Italy. Never got any monies returned, and have never used Europcar since.

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition
Kingsland Red replied to Jimmy_D's topic in The Saints
Apologies if posted already but NA is at the Euros with a European scout until Sunday, flew out yesterday for a game last night and watching a player in a couple of games. On a different theme, who does that Czech right back Gebre Sellassie play for , he has a lot of energy and gets up and down the line well. -
I thought they were off to Liss Athletic (?)

From my experiences with the man , all plausible - except the last sentence Gemmel. Conceited, Bollinger, county set, merchant banker - yes; nice- never I'm afraid.

Falkland Islanders Choose to hold a referendum
Kingsland Red replied to Colinjb's topic in The Lounge
From my experience the Falkland Islanders are more British than us, like most ex-pats. -
Make of this what you will- Peter Storrie, was at the Hampshire Premier League (Step 7) AGM at Fleetlands FC this morning, representing Liss Athletic.

Just as I was enjoying Lampitt claiming his £18k a month : http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/league-withholds-cash-for-pompey-after-lampitt-claim-1-3898118 This jewel popped up, those millionaires of football...Plymouth, finding scraps on the carcass... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/ex-pompey-trainee-snapped-up-by-plymouth-1-3895482 Priceless !

Based on this link, in a similar way to the WBA manager / Appy survey in the Birmingham News ( or whatever) I invite my fellow Saintsweb colleagues to join me and vote for Spain in this, a first meaningful vote in the otherwise tedious annual financial drain, to see who is telling the truth ! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-18187148

This , interesting times approaching on the end game !

There is a fundamental problem and I go back to my previous comment m'lord. - Why would BC (and AA?), who hold the majority percentage of the creditors vote , vote for the Trust proposals instead of there own Portpin one. The Trust is a complete waste of time unless Birch legally challenges Portpin and that would take months/ years.

French Africa - Southampton after a slice
Kingsland Red replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Erm, I believe Tanzania was actually a German colony, hence a British army presence in Kenya during WW2. -
another goalscorer waiting to be signed..?
Kingsland Red replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
On the theme of ex players, Matt Oakley has been released by Leicester. May I suggest we dont sign him? -
Those of the above that have been with us for 3 seasons do not have to be on the 25 man list, as they are given the same exemption as the U21s.

Bartosz amongst others. Jaidi retiring. Link is here: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2776455,00.html

As BC has a large percentage of votes when the creditors vote, then as I alluded to a few pages ago, the Trust bid, however financially viable, has no chance of being accepted. The FL Fit & Proper Persons Test should really scrutinise this latest scenario, but I dont expect the FL will be bold enough to either reject BC or deduct further points. Interesting times !!

Ritchie at Swindon too, had a great season.
-
I cannot understand why any Trust bid would be accepted by the creditors, which include Portpin as a large percentage of the creditors.

Totally agree about the 'PA v fans singing' after the last game of the season, ridiculous insensitive jobsworth on the PA. Also unnecessary before games such as Pompey when the atmosphere doesn't need PA. On the same theme I will never forget the way the PA deliberately drowned out the "Yellows" chants which filled the Millenium Stadium when Arsenal were presented with the cup.

Ah yes, I have never been forgiven for my eldest coming with me and failing a primary school SATS maths test the next day. Awesome night.

If ever there was an example of a player prolonging his career by ambling leisurely around the middle of a football pitch, this man is it. He probably smokes a pipe and has a colley dog by his side these days, but all credit to the boy,he is in the Sweden squad for the Euros having knocked the Argies out all those years ago (2002?). http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18061706

Article by Geoff Smith in this weeks Football Ccho
Kingsland Red replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Saints
For those in the geographical area not in the distribution area of The Pink, I would like to confirm that most of what Mr Smith says makes sense. Hope this helps !!!!! -
Big name - premiership manager- Alan Pardew ! Why then did NC search for and then select a young talent from Scunny ? I would be hugely disappointed if NA wasn't given at least a couple of seasons, after all he took Scuuny up, down and up again.
