  1. One minor wobble from Fraser but quality aside from that. Pulled off a couple of worldies which I’ve got 100% confidence AM wouldn’t have got anywhere close to. Ralph will continue to pick McCarthy and Walcott though as he’s blind to their shortcomings.
  2. Looked decent tonight. Bring in Tino at RB and I’d keep the rest of the back line the same for Watford.
  3. Proud of the boys tonight - they proper went for it especially towards the end. Feel for Smallbone, he shouldn’t have been taking one there’s far more experience in that side that should have stepped up. Walcott though, just fuck off.
  4. Wonder what happened to those jumbo screens that were meant to be installed this month 🤔
  5. That has to be a red based on JWPs as comparison
  6. This is brilliant. Fucking hate the dippers but as it’s United on the other end of a beating bring it on.
  7. I’d have rather have seen Djenepo come on late today and try unlocking a stubborn Burnley defence than Adam Armstrong which was as pointless a sub as the Che Adams one. Don't understand why we bothered giving Theo a proper contract. The stupidest waste of money since we gave Shane Long an extension.
  8. On the subject of average midfielders returning this can’t be true surely… https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/19667660.reports-italy-link-filip-djuricic-saints-return/#comments-anchor
  9. Not sure it was that at all - genuinely thought the fact that he didn’t feature in any of the European games whatsoever was some sort of punishment from higher up for him wanting to leave that summer whilst his stock was so high post Euros. This quote from Alpine was pretty nail on the head though "We have blown this bigtime Puel was an awful choice and Uncle Les lost the plot this summer" Its nice watching that highlights video further up the thread, don’t remember it being such a one sided match. Can’t say I remember much of the game at all after that day by the canal to be fair.

    Nigel Adkins

Bloke is an absolute legend - I’d love to meet him and thank him for helping create some of my greatest memories of watching Saints in recent years. He got us out of League 1 automatically without a full season in charge, and we got out of the Championship at the first attempt without dropping out of the top 2 for an entire season. The 5 year plan was completed in 3 season. Yes he may have had some decent players at his disposal but that doesn’t guarantee success, look at what Tuchel achieved with Lampards squad for example. Sometimes the right manager joins the right team at the right time and it works perfectly. It’s a shame for Nigel it’s not worked out since.
  11. I guess the issue with this would be finding the time to schedule the qualifying qualifiers and then the countries that do get through would still end up being cannon fodder anyway. Maybe another idea keeping with your theme is to group the sort of crap teams together, with 2 spots available for the group winners in the finals tournament. It’d give the likes of Andorra, San Marino etc a realistic chance to feature in a major competition.
  12. “Used to be a skate but he’s alright now” from the England fans, guessing we’ve got a few there? Heard the James ward prowse/Marian pahars song earlier too
  13. Just like Wolves all over again, another stuttering side that should pick up 3 points at St Mary’s whilst we draw another blank in front of goal.
  14. I’m not moaning - I’m simply stating what have we got to show for it? We’re just making up the numbers.
  15. Anyone that says they wouldn’t like that kind of investment at Saints is a liar, regardless of who it is splashing the cash. I know it got everyone’s panties in a twist but Jamie O’Hara was right, we are the dross in this league, and despite a purple patch last season have been for the last 4 years now. As mentioned above we’ve been here for 10 years now whilst others have yo-yo’d or dropped as far as league 2, and we’ve got fuck all to show for it.
  16. Tell me that’s a joke please
  17. Shit defending by Prowsey
  18. Kids begging for shirts at every football game now with some crappy cardboard sign. ”it’s my birthday can I have your shirt” ”your my favourite player can I have your shirt” No piss off you little shit.
  19. The human race is full of cretins and the hope that we would be a better society post Covid has well and truly disappeared. So many people with no thought for their fellow man, far too many cunts in the world these days.
  20. Shit news on a miserable day - was a few years above me at Bitterne Park and was nice to see a few local lads doing well for themselves. Condolences to his friends and family, especially his two children. At least he has left behind a legacy for them to be proud of.
  21. That’s brilliant - I’d rightfully be fuming if I was a Leicester fan! Saying that though I won’t laugh too hard as I’ve got a gut feeling we’re going to be feeling that way about Lyanco…
  22. Another loss for the night Portsmouth. Shame. Seems time is probably running out for our Nige at Charlton which is a shame. Really thought he’d do well this season, especially with the decent form they showed towards the end of the last campaign.
  23. Pretty sure he was called up for the last internationals and ended up withdrawing - expect it’ll be the same this time around too.
  24. His dead balls so far this season have been absolutely shocking. He looks a completely different player to the one from last season. Two corners today didn’t get past the first man, and one didn’t get higher than about 3 feet off the ground and was promptly cleared. Someone suggested he’s playing injured in which case forget his record of continuous PL minutes and give the lad a rest.
  25. I’ve read that before on he that he might resign. When has a manager ever resigned and walked away from the massive payoff that comes with the sack. He’s here to stay, until we finally push the button and get rid. If it’s ok for people to mention that Norwich have lost their last 16 premier league games (which includes their 19-20 results) then they need to apply the same logic to us. We’ve been fucking dreadful since January, have won what 4 games since then? I’ve no idea how Ralph has survived that run, managers have been sacked for much worse. He’s not improving us, we’re going nowhere, except down, and it’s time the club get some balls and do what’s required. I still believe we’ve got the players to stay up this season, but not with the starting XI Ralph chooses, nor the formation.
