Just spent a wonderful lunchtime catching up with the latest from the phew. I had to stop at one point as my colleague was giving me strange looks as I disolved into laughter (they wouldn't understand!).

And Rallyboy - that was brilliant!

Now for for an extended lunch looking at the webchat...

 

I was delighted with my luck, about 50% success rate! PUP! I think about 75% of that were custodians of this thread. Really struggled not to PMSL and maintain quiet at work!

Spent the day playing golf only to come back and find that this thread had advanced 3 full pages !

Having worked my way through it now, I feel that a few gongs are in order for exceptional service to the cause :

So, by my reckoning, if the instantly infamous Pompey Takeover Saga thread page 941 is anything to go by, Cala minus middle east investment = Pompey being taken over by a one man aquarium company with no assets and a rolling debt of c.$14,000,000 and a head office in a room above a cafe. Am I warm? Anything I've missed?

The Ground Floor Cafe

 

 

The only good thing about the Ground Floor Cafe is its location, since I work in the same building. Other than that, its nothing special. The two men who run it are very rude to their staff. Almost to the point that it makes me and others uncomfortable. The food sucks. Their Caesar Salad is not good. Their breakfast is greasy. Their daily "specials" lack in creativity and flavor. They literally have zero healthy options. I guess that's why most of their customers are overweight. Overall, it is just not a good place to eat. Occasionally, I'll get a turkey sandwich with cheese on wheat bread. Kind of hard to mess that up, but its not that good. And it costs $7.50. The prices are outrageous, especially when compared to the poor food they serve.

We have always thought this was a great place until today.

Some strange man was in there that is NEVER there during the noon hour or day. He said he was the other owner of the place. We went to re-fill our tea cups and he commenced to tell us that those were not his cups and wanted to know where we got them and then he said, after he made a total fool of himself because the cups were the same, he started saying they weren't his lids and what did we think we were doing. He said he had to make a living and feed his family and was going to charge us full price. All we had was a dollar to pay for two refills. He was yelling at us so loud the the whole ground floor could hear him, inside and outside the little area. He then continued yelling and yelling the same thing over and over and over and over again. He was EXTREMELY RUDE. We have NEVER even seen him in this cafe before and trust me, we have been in there many many times. However, we will NOT be going there anymore. He acted like a 2 year old BABY throwing a fit! I certainly hope no one else has been treated that way by him. It's too bad, but he will ruin himself and the business by acting the way he does. We will most certainly spread the word..................

That is NeilAllen from the Portsmouth News who every week does a webchat. It's routinely invaded by pompey takeover saga regulars from here and hilarity ensues as the comments are posted on the News website as Neil does not realise they are from saints fans in disguise.
