shurlock Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Adebayo Akinfenwa from Northampton Town would be a decent and realisitc punt. Pacey, a proverbial handful - average of a goal in just over every two games.

Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Beckford is on the transfer list because he doesn't want to play in League One. Nope, he's on the transfer list cos he turned down Leeds latest contract. But still unlikely considering: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leeds_united/8141675.stm

No, I mean play at a higher level than League One. Silly me.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Anybody have a list of players that are either without a club at the moment or their contract has expired? For me Size and Murty would be a good start. We need a big lump upfront and some pace, if BWP doesn't stay.

John Boy Saint Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Duberry and Scowcroft, both free transfers Campbell-Ryce? Brett Pitman? Rickie Lambert? With him on the wing he would have to take a good book on the pitch with him to read while waiting for Rasiak and John to get into position for the cross. My sources are fairly terrible, just my friend seems to think he's in the know to be fair he got it right about the takeover by the Swiss. Ricky Redstripe Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Sam Sodje seemed to do a very good job for Leeds last season. Smirking_Saint Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Think Duberry would do well although if we get Size it would not matter, unless to have someone incase of injuries etc. In that respect Bennet would probably be a good shout. And also i have always rated fortune. Whats bridges like with injuries these days ?? Webber would be a great signing, Lita would also but just can't see it happening. Ball would be a great signing but won't happen !! We also need a decent ball spraying midfielder, the sort that could make something happen. Alanh Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Whats the latest on Rasiak? Think he's going to stay? Him and Stern John would be excellent upfront. Saga definitley off? No idea what the latest on Rasiak is but are you sure him and Stern would be a good front two. They are both as pacey as snails and neither of them offer anything but being a goal poacher. I reckon we need one or other of them, but we also need a pacey front man who will pull a defence out of position and contribute to defnding by chasing down loose balls and defenders in posession. saint_stevo Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Anyone thinking Bridges, Douglas or Duberry is good enough for League 1 is deluded. I suppose time will tell. Bridges got 1in4 last season in L1, i said in the squad so that would be fine. Douglas would still be at Leeds, who made the play-offs last season in L1 but for a falling out with Grayson Duberry is obviously good enough. Played a fair few games for Reading last season. Again Play-offs in CCC So there.
matthieu Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 I heard Rudi Skacel was available.. but in all seriousness, we don't need Ball as I belive Mills will be our 1st choice left-back and is a brilliant player at this level. Get JPS back and Murty (If not what about Ifil who we had on loan a few years back, now at colchester I believe) in and we'd have a quality back 5 (4 defenders + Davis), in the midfield, we need a right winger, preferably with pace, someone like Campbell-Ryce would be quality or someone of his ability (McKlaggon or White would be good when they return from injury) and up front, Danny Webber would be awesome, I'm suprised one of Wolves, Birmingham or Burnley haven't looked at him as I belive he's good enough to be back-up for the prem. Also, I always liekd Angelo Balanta from QPR, went on loan to Wycombe Wanderers last season and scored something like 11 goals in 12 games (yes it was league 2) but he knows where the goal is. Agyemang anyone?
