Only a few isolated seats in blocks 41 and 42 when I got my ST over a week ago. Better be quick!

Does that mean that getting a few tickets on general sale in the Northam is going to be difficult this season? May have to get a ST after all even though I will only be in England whilst at uni which isn't ideal!

I'd imagine it'll be impossible to get tickets on general sale in the northam to be honest.

Hopefully a few become available on on 31st. I need 2 together, there's no way I'm leaving block 42.

How have they nearly all gone? Unless they were ticket sharing, there were hardly any ST holders around me last year.

Around me on the isle between 42 & 41 I'd say that 90% are ST holders. Don't usually see many different faces.

Can only be a good thing, nice to see we are going to be getting decent support this season.

No doubt a few signings soon will cause a larger influx.

Lets start the march to the prem

COYR

Just a thought: Given the lower prices this season, I wonder how many Season Ticket holders will have bought them as a way of reserving a seat for the games they can make rather than intending to attend 'most' games.

For example, I was on the cusp of buying one even though I can only make c.10 games a year but it was a little more expensive than paying for those 10 games on the door.

However, had I been looking at 15 games then it would have made sense to buy a season ticket even though I'd miss half the games.

So, what I'm guessing is that, more than any previous season, this season may see a far less % of season ticket holders attending 'most' games?

In other words, and starting to waffle for England, but greater season ticket sales may not translate into greater actual attendees at each game....?

Thanks for reading such drivel.

Don't you know anyone you can give/sell your ticket to for games you cannot make? better than just leaving it unused

I am not one to criticize as I don’t have a season ticket myself but Brian Gunn said on Talk Sport this morning that Norwich had sold 19k for the coming season. Now that is very impressive. :smt103

Sure that wasn't 'Talk S***e"? It's only a 26k stadium ffs!

Could still be tempted but I had a huge back dated water bill in the post this morning to the tune of £500.

I'd want a cushty seat in block 7 though and these may have disappeared now. There's no way I'm mixing with the northam rabble again after my experiences last season.

How much water do you use, Even if it was back dated?

Don't even get me started Godfather.

Works out to 0.3 cubic metres per day which is only a shade above average but by the time all the extras have been added on you're looking at £500 for a year. That was in a new build flat with just two pupil living there who were out all day at work!

Now moved to a three bed semi which is on rates and it is considerably cheaper. The whole meter thing is a con in my opinion.

We currently have more season ticket holders for next year than at leat 5-6 other clubs have capacity in their grounds.

This could increase when (or if!) we get over 12k.

Although it still worries me about the sort of 'cupfinal' it brings to some of the smaller clubs. I'm trying to write this without sounding big headed, but I've failed. Nevermind.

STs for the family enclosure at Blackburn are £199, compared to our £333!! In fact there are several Premiership clubs that are selling STs cheaper than us.

Blackburn and Wigan dropped their prices considerably this season in order to entice more people into their half-full stadia. They are able to do this because their main income stream is the Sky/ESPN money. Being in L1, we do not have that luxury and our main income stream is ST sales and match-day gate receipts.

I wish Pompey would. Mine cost me £660.00 and that was at the "early bird" price. Prices now are £710.00.

Don't you just love the Premiership?

Well I paid £351 for an ST level with the half way line. Salisbury are charging £300 for a seated ST.

I like Salisbury but I know which I think is the best value.

IMO Saints ST prices are a good deal this year.

By 'early bird' you mean paying before the club sold all their best players.:p

As well as the TV money being the main income, they are competing against other more glamorous sides close by and it's always cheaper up north!

I have to say why is everyone clamouring to buy a ST?

OK benefits - you sit in the same seat every week...but that's about it!

Why would anyone want to shell out the thick end of £300+ now when they can go every week like in the good old days of just walking up?

It's a stigma - it's the I'm a better fan scenario. You can't be a fan unless you own a season ticket. I was trying to wrk it out from The Dell days when we only had seats in the West & East stands - what was it then about 5,000 season ticket holders when the capacity was 30,000+ (I was there that night)?

So I'm pleased for the club they attract a loyal fans base to stump up the cash to assist with cash flow...but why is it essential for anyone to hold a ST?

If they opened Blocks 1/2/3 - I bet they'd sell a lot more quickly!

I renewed and it cost me £288. It works out at an average of £12.50 a game, makes sense as I will see all the games.

So by not committing to a ST you are effectively being charged double to watch a game!

Sounds like they like people like me walking up - after all we are the true fans because we pay twice as much as people with STs!

Always knew I was a better supporter than a ST holder!

(PS Please take this as very tongue in cheek...honest!)

Guaranteed a seat every game and get priority on any FA cup/play-off games. And it works out cheaper.

Haha good point. But then you can't wave your ST at all the plastics when they come to watch a big team in the cup!
