Crowd for Saturday?

Bought 4 tickets for Saturdays game this morning at a very quiet St Marys!

Ticket office said that so far we've only sold 13,000 tickets with Colchester only selling 80! (I had to ask him to repeat that)

It will be my first chance to see Trotman and Hammond so I'm looking firsts to the game. Even more so if Jaidi and Awaigo play.

Hopefully the new signings will boost the gate a bit now! Although with England playing we could suffer.

80

i expect that to grow now they've got a new manager in.

I bought 3 tickets earlier, got a feeling you'll get the usual bounce response from 2 solid signings (people hoping to see their debuts).

hopefully there will be a good walk up if the weather is good on Saturday!

a good crowd, some new players on the pitch, a few goals and a first win of the season would make it a great day!

a large and vociferous crowd could make all the difference on Saturday

I nearly fell of my chair reading that. 22,000...?! Don't be so ridiculous.

As for Colchester only selling 80, that surely can't be right?

It is quite possible mate. My mate who goes everywhere with Luton said Colchester always brought one of the smallest followings to them every year. 100 - 150. They were bottom division / non-league for quite a long time so guess not that surprising.

Can't believe they have sold 80 - I remember them bringing 3,000 odd for a Carling Cup game a few years ago.

i'm pretty sure our record low is 13,000 and something against Sheffield United when it was snowing?

And remember c11,000 of these are season ticket holders who will be counted within this number.

I can't believe this is going to be the crowd for saturday, apathy can't have set in yet can it?

To be fair Raymond, how would someone phoning you help you with your English? Surely an evening class would be more beneficial?

bad news is they have appointed Boothroyd as manager' date=' new manager against saints normally bad news[/quote']

Any omen I've ever experience for Saints of for their opponents has meant a bad result for Saints. These days I just hope for nothing to happen at all ;]

I think it is the apathy re the Transfer Window, plus our Krap start ..... perhaps the news of Two signed pending Work Permits will help ....

Well in my opinion I don't think fans should decide not to attend a game just because their club hasn't signed all the players the fans deem acceptable. A kid doesn't boycott Christmas just because he doesn't get all the presents he wants. People complain about results, but what the team need the most is the fans to get behind them. All in my opinion of course.

agree a results business being aware of all the problems and the relief of the club still being there but we are currently showing relegation form so to draw crowds we need some wins going all the same but not as enthusiastic as i was at the begining of the season ,wins mean bums on seats

how many players do you need to have called up for international duty before the game is called off? Think it used to be 4 in the lower divisions

we could have Saga, schneiderlin + the new 2 at some point this season

So including the 11,000 season tickets, only 2,000 have been sold additionally? That's quite ridiculous. Where are you all?

Well I, for one, am part of the 11,000. I don't see why it make a difference whether people are counted amongst STs or not. If we had sold 2000 season tickets and then got an average attendance of 16,000 would it have really been so much better?

It's not like the 11,000 season tickets are just cardboard cut outs stood in front of the seat.

Only for the clubs finances to the tune of £72,000 per match and £1.656 million per season, with the differing cost between buying on the day and the cost of the season ticket.

I'm going to the game, but will walk up and get my ticket on the day. I'm sure there will be plenty of others like me.

I hope Papa Waigo does get a game because I think he could be something special in this div.

I will be going, but it all depends on the cash I have left in the bank. However if I have plenty left, then I will go of course.

Other then that, is their any forum member meet up's going on. Before the game on Saturday.
