Saint Fan CaM Posted 5 September, 2009 Share Posted 5 September, 2009 (edited) Never started one of these, so hopefully the MODS will oblige and sticky it? Anyhow, really, really need to see a Saints win today and a convincing one too. Our time surely must be right now for a big push out of the negative pts zone and upwards. All the components are in place! Hope for a noisy and fun atmos from all stands today too - the team needs every minute of our support even if things are not looking rosy. Come on you Saints!!!! PS: contrary to previous reports, Papa Waigo will not be playing but will be revealed to the crowd 10 minutes before KO today. Edited 5 September, 2009 by Saint Fan CaM New news... Red Alert Posted 5 September, 2009 Share Posted 5 September, 2009 I cant see it today. Saga away, leaves Lambo and Pato un front. Two new boys cant play. And with Murty out its a big miss for us. However dont think they will beat us. So 1-1. Bore draw, nothing to see here. We will win next week though.

um pahars Posted 5 September, 2009 Share Posted 5 September, 2009 Even if the two new guys aren't playing I'm predicting a scruffy 1-0 win to kickstart the season. Lambert deflected goal, they'll have one (maybe two disallowed) and we will ride our luck. 18,345. Then we'll be on a roll!!!!!!!!!!!

Glasgow_Saint Posted 5 September, 2009 Share Posted 5 September, 2009 That's not really an answer though is it? Surely no one decided we'd not win for 5 games just for a laugh....so something must be wrong. What is it? Fitness? Training? Preperation? Players? Desire? Manager? Fans? Mentality? Set-up? Strengh? Pace? Skill? combination of 2 or 3 of above imo Problem is other teams in L1 will also be weak in 2 or 3 (maybe more) of above - we just need to exploit weaknesses much like teams do to us. On paper we are one of the best teams in L1 - its time to start producing to our best on the pitch.

SuperSAINT Posted 5 September, 2009 Share Posted 5 September, 2009 I'd go for:- Davis Thomas Trotman Perry Harding Mellis James Hammond Mills Lallana Lambert If you start with Pato & Lambo upfront, you leave yourself with d*ck all attacking options if you want to change things up front. (Or if you get an injury)
