madsent Posted 24 November, 2009 Share Posted 24 November, 2009 A good record there The only disappointing thing in that lot is that we've conceded the first goal in 4 of the last 5 league games. hypochondriac Posted 24 November, 2009 Share Posted 24 November, 2009 OH nooooes there's going to be rioting on the streets next time we lose because NickG has raised expectations (what does that even mean???) by posting our results from the last 11 games which shows us on a good run. I think now everyone will forget that other games were played before those eleven and proclaim us champions in waiting. For goodness sake.

I think now everyone will forget that other games were played before those eleven and proclaim us champions in waiting. For goodness sake. You're being ridiculous. No one has suggested there will be rioting on the street. You just need to get your head out of the sand and take a look at the table. We are in the relegation zone and have been for quite some time. Even if we didn't have the minus 10 we would still only be 11th. You're crazy for not seeing through the spin. You have been brainwashed. ps - do you really not understand what "raising expectations" means? I find that difficult to believe because it really is quite straight forward English. teamsaint Posted 24 November, 2009 Share Posted 24 November, 2009 quite sad really. After nearly not having a team to support, followed by a very poor start(with a VERY weak squad) we actually have at team that is entertaining us, and over quite a long run now , is doing something that looks like promotion form. And some people seem to be enjoying the bad bits more than the good. There is lots to put right yet. WE probably won't make the playoffs.our defence plainly isn't as good as it needs to be. But from where I am sitting , it all looks more like fun than it has for a while. And I for one am keeping alive that faint flickering dream of seeing us win the playoffs for a while yet. Loyalty and hope , our own, is all we really have. 28 games to go. One game at a time. Now is a time for hope, if not expectation. Real shame about KD. But a great win. The boy done well Posted 24 November, 2009 Share Posted 24 November, 2009 Keep going NickG. Don't let the bastards grind you down. Absolutely. Why not revel in it. We've had so little to raise our spirits in the last few years. That was a great win on a bleak November night miles from home against a team with a decent record recently. OK we're not in the the Premiership but this sure feels good to me and I guess many others too.
