Im a little worried about this match, think we might be looking at another draw,i hope im wrong. We were unlucky at Brentford not to score, hitting the post and crossbar and Huddersfield was a little disappointing, the team isnt firing on all cylinders at the moment and these few games might be just our blip as every team has in a season.Great to have Paddy back for Saturday and looking forward to seeing Johnson back, hopefully very soon. Also come 5pm saturday we could see a much different table,Millwall might do us a favour, big big games for the top teams. We really need to be 110% for saturday,no sloppy defending like last night.

If we can't get ourselves up for this one then I'd be very disappointed. We've had some great games against Southampton in the past and I think if we can win on Saturday it will be a huge boost for our title hopes. We're definitely good enough and I think we'll win.

Naylor and Paddy K at CB has to improve things; Europa told me last night that they have haven't played together yet!

Things have slipped in recent weeks, but only to the extent of draws, not losses, so that's a good sign, and perhaps all the cup games have got in the way of our league focus and momentum. The other factor is that Colchester, Norwich and Charlton are bang in form so we've less room for manoeuvre than earlier in the season.

Get to Christmas unbeaten and add Johnson and Higgs to the side and we're looking strong.

I would really relish Leeds being three goals up on us with 15 minutes to go.

Then I would be ecstatic for us to score four goals before the end of play.

If there is a God, it's not too much to ask for, is it? After all, he's done it once before, just the other way about.

rather we were 3 nil up with 15 mins to go then WE went on to score another 4 goals resulting in a humiliating 7 nil win for us

that would give me far more pleasure

Still have nightmares about that game.

Too late. Saints sold Jesus.

Did our Dan Harding play for Leeds in that game ?

I do remember the impact Healy had when he came off the bench - He worried the life out of our defence and in the end we cracked!

No, think about it; do you remember how low you felt walking away from that reverse against Leeds having experienced the euphoria of having led by three goals until comparitively late in the game?

That's precisely what I would like the Leeds fans to feel.

Can you imagine the fantastic feeling that the Leeds fans had on their way home from that match? That's how I want us all to feel on the way home from Leeds. I suspect that there was an element of that euphoria at the Norwich match on Tuesday. I bet it felt much better than winning at a canter.

I was at Uni in Leeds around 1970 and could only get a ticket in the Leeds end (well side actually) when we got beat 2-1. Think we were 1-0 up before Joe Kirkup scored a stunning headed own goal from about 20yds. Second half our keeper, Gerry Gurr, got a whack from behind from Billy Bremner after he caught a corner. Gurr instinctively hit Bremner on the head with the ball (not hard). Tough guy Bremner went down as if poleaxed. Ref didnt see it but the crowd bayed, Ref turned round, saw Bremner on the floor and gave a pen.

Without thinking, I shouted out 'cheat' or something similar and a few hundred eyes swivelled round my way.

As I was probably one of the very few Saints fans at Elland Rd that day there was a sense of shock which undoubtedly saved my skin.

The fact that Johnny Giles scored and we lost probably helped too.

Used to watch Leeds quite a bit in those days. Have never really liked them or their fans though

Shudders!

Didnt need reminding of that game!!

At half time, my mate actually turned to me and said 'I bet you we'll lose'

I laughed at him and told him I'm not taking his bet because he was being ridiculous. There was simply no we'd lose, I told him.

I don't even think he thought his prophecy would come true, but... :o

To put the cherry on the icing on the cake, our second goal would come from us being awarded a dodgy free kick and us takng it 20 metres further up the pitch with the ball still moving.

Here's one more:

"Southampton are flying at the moment and even though I have predicted a narrow win in the predictions league I can honestly see us losing this. We appear to have gone off the boil a bit of late with 2 league draws and a scrappy win over Accrington, I'm not really counting the 5-1 win over Kettering.

Every body needs to be on top of their game on Saturday to beat a team I predicted ages ago would be promoted this season. They have a lad on loan from a Premiership club and I watched them live t'other week he reminded me of Theo Wallcott."

I'll always remember that game as when our season ended and we started our downward spiral - right down to administration and almost going out of existence.

I thought at the time that Redknapp had put a remarkably good team together (despite L**e only giving him something like 90k) and we were doing OK, looking promising for at least a play off spot.

However after that defeat confidence went, Redknapp left along with key players like Quashie and the whole season slipped down the pan.

Despite the play off season (which never felt particularly sustainable) I think the big slide happened that afternoon and I truly think that its only now that our trajectory is finally starting to curve upwards again.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit of revenge.

And Harding didn't even get a YELLOW for that!

You can bet your life that if he does that Saturday, he certainly will after the reaction from the Leeds sooooper fans.

It's just hit me how much I hate Leeds, that chant they have does my head in (I think its the accent) "Maaaarrrrrchin on togeveeeerrrrr". Stupid northern ****s.

I think Leeds fans should have good reason to believe they will beat us, even with the slight wobble of their form recently. They still haven’t lost recently and its been even longer since they lost at home this season. They must go into the game as favourites, I just hope for 1, it’s not called off because of the weather and 2, we can cause a shock and take all 3 points.

I think a point is the most I can see us to getting, a bit like when we played Charlton away earlier this season when they were in good form. But Saints have been full of surprises this season so far, so maybe there is another nice surprise around the corner for us. Who knows!?

They aren't in good form, we are in very good form. We will win.
