SWF v.s PO

Tac-tics

Recommended Posts

Right here goes:

In the past there has been the odd game between SWF and Pompey Online. It's been a bloody long time since we last played them so who would be up for it?

I would obviously need people to help and give up spare time, linesmen and a ref, players and any one that wants to support the game.

Mods and Admins, feel free to take control and help as it would be appreciated.

I have no idea which message board to contact so lets get the ball rolling....

Update's:

Pompey online are interested, maybe with an idea it progressing to a charity match or just an annual competition.

So sign up guys!!!

Strictly SWF users' only ATM

I don't think people shouldn't take for granted they are in the side.

There should be trials. First the East and West Southampton trials, and then the final trials. Just like Southampton Schoolboys in the old days.

Some of you giving yourself a place in the side might be sh*t for all I know.

Which is a great idea in theory (in theory!), considering I am even ****ter now that I haven't played for a couple of years.

Though I do envisage a return to vintage form after a few practice sessions and a dollop of personal motivation.

We had a London Saints team a few years back, some of the lads from that are pretty good.

Also I'm sure Oxfordshire Saint would sign up for goaly duties.

I, unfortunately, am a combination of injured, old & quite frankly nowhere near good enough, so I volunteer for watching!

Indeed, I would be more than up for it!!!

Can also play competently in any role across the back four, but goalkeeper by trade

Outrageous. I am sure there are people on here better in goal than you are, and better defenders (goalies think they're good on pitch, but they're not).

I bet Pompey Online are having trials. Apparently Peter Storrie is good at them.

There may well be, I don't know everyone on here, but surely playing at levels above "Sunday Football" is worth something?

Meh, offer's there, it can be taken or left, tis no skin off my nose.

Can we also have a women's veteran's side? I play punta... er.. striker. I'm not fussy, I score with my head, knee, right boob (ow...). Right-sided but happy to use my left, like chipping the ball which drives my Italian coach spare (even when there is someone in the way of a pinged ground pass).

OK, joking. I can't afford the flights. Do have fun though. Football is not a game for professionals!
