I'm not going today, but surely we will take more out of today than the other games so far.

Should be a good test.

If you are going avoid the avenue, as I have just found out there are road works for 2 weeks!

Next week will be carnage!!!!

If Reading bring their full team, theres no way we will beat them.

Good to see we're heading towards the new season full of optimism.

TBH I don't care whether we win or lose as there are no points at stake, but I'd like to think the majority of our team could actually hold their own in the CC, and that if it was an important game I would put money on us beating them at home anyhow (that doesn't mean I don't think we could improve the squad, though!).

I'm hoping for a pretty strong lineup so we can see if we're up for it, with a few players involved so I can have a look at. Hoping for something like;

Davis

Butterfield Fonte Martin Harding

OC Spiderman Carter Dickson

Lambert Barnard

Haven't seen Dickson or Carter at all and only OC once or twice. I'd hope to see also at some point some from Bailowski, Hammond, Puncheon, Seabourne, Mills, Holmes too.

I have it on good authority (my brain told me so), that there will be an official handing over ceremony at half time of Michail Antonio. He plays the first half for Reading and the second half for Saints. I am nITK.

Don't knock it because the Hernedaz guy did that this week!

Anyway, The club have done nothing to attract me to the game today so I shall not be there!

If it happens, it will be the most amazing fake prediction ever. Although, having mentioned it on here, Cortese has already read this and decided to pull the plug on the deal. My bad.

Anyone know if the whole stadium will be open? There's nothing saying about it on the OS, but last year only the Kingsland was opened for the Stoke friendly which makes me wonder.

Well, Ive got tickets in my usual season ticket seats in the Itchen, Block 4 so it wouldn't surprise me if the whole of the stadium was open.

We couldn't get our 'normal' seats in block 20 (Family Centre) as I was informed that that part was closed.

Haha, okay. I guess we'll see. Cheers to both of you.

Really looking forward to today, it's great to have football back. COYR!

FFS, why exactly? A poor Championship team away to a very good L1 side? I'm sure the bookies would have us slight favourites for that if it was a cup match.

They played better during the second half of the season finishing ninth and have played quite well pre season.

Dont know how true it is but heard a rumour that Lambert had picked up a groin injury, todays line up will give us a clue if this is true.

You seemed pretty 'close' to the recent 'Lallana is off' rumour (as in saying categorically that it wasn't happening), so with that background I would say your comment about Rickie being injured is probably close to the mark.

May I therefore be the first to say: "Rickie injured? Oh, c o c k"

Harding Vs Antonio will be an interesting matchup? Reading should win this they showed their true form at the end of last season, there a good side. I'd like us to play our best side though no trailists or second string lets get the first team out only a week from start of season.

Lambert, Lallana, Puncheon & Schneiderlin all injured. 3 left backs start!!

You're joking?? And I thought the idea was to try to have a settled pre-season! I know you can't predict who might get injuries but you do know it's a possibility so if you also have lack of cover in key positions, you could be said to be in a little bit of bother before a ball's been kicked in anger...

Don't worry, we've got that Rickie-like replacement in reserve, which AP identified at the start of pre-season. Oh...

Do you remember in 2004 Beattie Phillips Crouch Ormerod all injured at the same time Best and Blackstock played

What would happen if Lambert Barnard and Connolly were all injured
