Hopkins Posted 31 December, 2008 Share Posted 31 December, 2008 Give it time for **** sake. Its only been a couple of hourse since Pearce was recalled after being told he can stay for a month. Give it a week or so for us to get someone else in before you start having a go. Classic proof of some of the ridicoulous hatred for our club at the moment from our own fans. Anything that happens, however how small or how impossible to react to in a couple of hours will somehow come back to this club being **** and Lowe, Jan and McGoldrick being behind it all. sadoldgit Posted 31 December, 2008 Share Posted 31 December, 2008 i thought the idea of total football was anyone could play anywhere That is why we (and 99.9% of teams) do not play total football. I don't know where this idea came from. Is it just because JP and Wotte are Dutch? Even the great Brazilian side of 1970 did not play total football. When was the last time you saw a Dutch team playing total football? They did it for a while many years ago when they had the players who could do it. SaintRobbie Posted 31 December, 2008 Share Posted 31 December, 2008 Rumours are we might see Baird as part-ex for Surman with Fulham. A morale move by Lowe to pacify the masses....? Certainly I would find it difficult to believe Jan would make that choice. Still, would like to see Bairdy back. He's a capable CB at CCC level, despite being primarily a RB. Makes no difference to us, as Hoyte's gone to Watford for the rest of the season. Then again, if he's that bad it's pleasing to see him playing for one of our relegation rivals! TopGun Posted 1 January, 2009 Share Posted 1 January, 2009 (edited) Lancashire simply aint up to it. Personally I think Lancs is a better defender than Pearce. Both very young of course. I expect Alps knows better than me though. Although Alps reminds me a lot of ARP Warden Hodges also in terms of his incessant and near hysterical yelping. I am quite sure that people in charge at SFC are aware of CB issues and will do what they can to fill the holes. It would be wholly ridiculous to think otherwise. Wow that amazes me as I think Lancashire is weak, poor in the air and beaten very easily. He is better on the ground than Pearce for passing but this league games are mainly won in the air. Pearce has been one of the only players that wins headers in both boxes and for me will be missed.

What, apart from the fact that he assumes that nothing will be done about the situation???
