Nah the left definitely have a superiority complex

Voted Brexit = Thick Racist

Dont want mass immigration = Racist

Dont agree with me = Nazi, racist scum

Dont like the Prime Minister = I didn't vote for this

The list goes on and on

Everyone with extreme views is a little unhinged but the left side definitely win the "I'm better than you" war

You just assume we consider themselves morally superior because you know deep down you're a cunt.

Brexit wasn't exactly a left/right issue, some Labour MPs supported the Leave campaign, and it is estimated that up to 4 million Labour voters voted for Brexit.

😂😂😂 I rest my case. The usual, charming, well worded and thought out post from the forums biggest knob head. “We consider themselves morally superior” What a helmet  😂

Everybody on the extremes considers themselves superior - ‘you lot all welcome immigrants with open arms’, when there’s a huge spectrum of different opinions on the subject to Reform being Nazis - with accompanying hyperbole. Then you have Arabs/Israel etc.

It’s even true to a certain extent of more conventional left/right and the discourse. The centre ground the likes of me, @egg@Holmes_and_Watson and others sit in has become smaller since the Brexit referendum. Yes, I do look at the extremes and think the nation is closer to becoming ungovernable as the element of compromise that sustained the two broad parties was ripped up by Corbyn and the ERG coup on the Tory party.

I'm only at the centre, because the extremist views I hold in all directions cancel each other out. 🙂

Respectful don’t agree Turks 😉

Raise the Colours duff up and try to run over people who don’t want the flags on public infrastructure (see Stirchley and other examples above). How many times have you heard the insult ‘Leftie’ on here? I’ve seen ‘Leftard’ on here as well. ‘The Left’ wildly bundled up into One Nation Tories, Liberals, Blue Labour, Old Labour, Corbyn’s oddballs.

They’re as bad as each other. Even thinking that anarchists are better than white supremacists or violent trans activists or zionists/Palestinians vice versa is a slippery slope and engages me a millimetre closer to any of their agendas than I ever want to be.

I agree they are as bad as each other, I just happen to think the left side considers themselves superior. Plenty of evidence on here for starters.

Yes, but why not be different to certain posters from further SE England?

Like anyone, it’s boring to read posts referring to huge broad ranges of people eg ‘the left’, ‘the right’, ‘far right’, ‘Antifa’ etc. I can only speak personally, but it gets up my nose and it shows a lack of understanding (although often it’s done to wind people up).

Whereas when people actually want to discuss the issues even if their views are different, I find that interesting.

I want to behead those Brighton immigrant rapists. Am I a leftie?

That would make you far right. Migrants welcome remember. Them poor rapists were merely fleeing persecution to get here, they just didn’t know how to behave around women as they weren’t used to seeing them out in public.

From the edges of the political spectrum you are viewed as an extremist centrist.

I’m more right wing than most on law and order than my other views. Even 🦆 called me out on it once!

I put a genuine laugh emoji on your post but I recognise the serious point underneath - none of us is politically or socially homogeneous in our outlook all of the time or even most.

It's all in your head. Everyone has their own set of morals and values and each individual obviously think theirs is right. Pigeonholing people into 'left' and 'right' is just bullshit nowadays anyway, you can be socially conservative but be economically liberal or vice-versa, everyone is different.

We dont pigeon hole themselves left and right they put ourselves into boxes and them then tick ourselves and we get angry against ourselves because they are cunts. Or something.

Generally because we are, but there are exceptions to the rule. I actually think the superior people tend to be Liberals...

Some Brexit voters aren't racist, isn't that correct @egg? 😜🤣

Probably only a handful of us mate, and I suspect we all acknowledge the error we made. The rest are flying the flags and throwing bins around.

Usually my first reaction is to use new views to challenge my own. World's worst in a rally.

Obviously, I'm cautious in tonight's chat of being accused of considering myself to be superior. But that's just another trap. I'm happy to settle for being better. 🙂

This appears to be fake news.

The story isn't fake, the information the Police are basing their investigation on might be invention.

Apparently they were filming with a drone and that’s enough to arrest 12 people for terrorism offences. I’d suggest whatever was going on inside is a bigger threat to UK safety but sure, two tier policing and all that.

Any word on his political motivations? Is he a far left terrorist nutter?

It's just such an odd/senseless crime, and can only be politically motivated.

Of course. I'm just interested in if he's affiliated with any far left organisations like antifa UK, hope not hate etc or if it's just a loner imbibing this sort of hate alone in his bedroom.

I'm not sure it's makes any difference one way or the other. Ideology is ideology.

I didn't say it made a difference I said I'd be interested to see if there was an affiliation. Of course if there was an overriding political ideology then our society has a duty to examine it to see what role if any it played in inspiring the murder and if we need to look at it in order to reduce the chances of something similar happening to figures on the right of politics. Prior to this incident some of the rhetoric I have seen from some organisations has been absolutely appaling.

If they just posted the court sketch as the person suspected there could have been Southport type riots

But any threats and violence against the left is almost universally condemned by the mainstream. This is not true to the same extent to those on the right.

I'm not sure that's the case. What's odd in this case was the police initial comments, not the media. Being so quick to say that the murder of a politician wasn't politically motivated was peculiar.

That’s not entirely my impression. Raise the Colours activists got behind suspects online enmasse for attacks like this on a regular basis https://news.sky.com/story/council-pulls-down-large-number-of-flags-after-racist-park-attack-13441679

Plenty of support was found online for these incidents too https://www.lbc.co.uk/article/lamppost-flag-campaign-founder-charged-murder-5HjdZt2_2/ and this person was arrested at the Unite the Kingdom March https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx217901n00o

You could pull up examples of equal shittiness from the person at Aberdeen Uni, and some of the comments on Charlie Kirk at the time.

I find it equally vile and a serious illness on our democracy. The reporting doesn’t help often either in terms of enciting grievance on either side of the extreme margins.

I still don’t think they know what his real motivation is/was.

Has to be political somewhere but could be single issue rather than parties. But who knows.

I think people that often see, and don't see, whatever suits their narrative. And yep, reporting doesn't help.

I thought they said there was no 'terrorist' link rather than 'political' link...

I thought they said not politically linked initially, but may be wrong.
