um pahars Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 Have us down for 4 or 5 points from next three games and have this one as a draw, but can see us sneaking it today. Donny off so can leapfrog them, Norwich away to Sheff Utd so could catch them up, Watford already lost so can close gap. The only bugger is Charlton at home to Forest. What's the best result here?? I think draw, then Charlton win, then Forest win.

View From The Top Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 We will lose. We will also fail to win against Doncaster and Lowe will panic and sack JP, althought the term "by mutual agreement" will be deployed.

um pahars Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 Davies James Perry Size Molyneux BWP Surman Spider Holmes DMG Saga Doesn't look that bad a side (although Molyneux and Ronnie untried and useen). Only concern would be that they havent all played together, but on paper a pretty strong team. 2-1 win
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 We will lose. We will also fail to win against Doncaster and Lowe will panic and sack JP, althought the term "by mutual agreement" will be deployed. I like that highlighted idea whatever the result.. As for the result, i always hope for a win but expect a defeat.. We will concede, of that there is no doubt so play two strikers who actually play as two up top and we may score some goals. Only concern would be that they havent all played together, but on paper a pretty strong team. 2-1 win May something about the quality we've had this season, but probs one of the strongest teams JP has been able to put out. Should i be optimistic? Go on then, saints to nick it....
saints-cris Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 I like the look of that side a lot. These are the sort of games we tend to do pretty badly in, so hopefully see a change.
benjii Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 That team is good enough to win matches (Molyneux aside, no idea if he's any good), provided it does the simple things well and retains some semblance of shape. EDIT: Just notice I am apparently "Apple Hunt Champion" - news to me!
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 (edited) Hope we stay up then extend his contract personally. Not long into january and we have two experienced players in in vital areas to help us. If we can stay up I have no doubts we'll do far better next season. 3-1 win today then hopefully good support next weekend. Entitled to your opinion of course, but i don`t want the guy anywhere near our team, whatever the outcome of the season.. He has done very, very little to convince me he knows what he is doing.. SNSUN Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 i reckon this game has draw written all over it. Saints go one up, look to be heading for the win and then barnsley equalise. 1,
Under Weststand Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 I hope for the best but expect the worst. It has to turn around this month as the next 3 games are games we just can't afford lose. Lets hope the 2 new defenders prove to be an asset and Saga finds his scoring boots again. Saint Martini Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 The best 11 IMHO, lets hope the defense clicks. Btw, does this mean that Saga can't leave anymore since he has played for two teams already? Although I believe there is an exception to that "two clubs a season"-rule for leagues with a summer competition like Sweden.

Stu Man Do Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 Seems a bit silly to have dropped Skacel completely our bench looks a little inadequate to me but only time will tell. I'd prefer to see Skacel on the left wing and Holmes on the right with BWP up top instead of Mcgoldrick. Euell also might be a decent bet up top with saga as he could hold the ball up a little better and with the crosses from Holmes and Skacel ... who knows, might even have scored a couple. What we would do for a Rasiak knocking in those crosses!

brightspark Posted 10 January, 2009 Share Posted 10 January, 2009 Can't get positive about Saints at the moment. Im expecting to lose, so in a way I can't feel as much dissappointment as the positive fellas because im 'ready for it'. Plus I will enjoy the win more feeling like I am, as the positive fellas will think to themselves that we will then beat Doncaster, instead of focusing on the win, and getting dissappointed next week. Oh well. COYR
