SaintRobbie Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 Lowe HAS to leave. Confidence lost completely from everybody. Until Lowe is out we cannot rebuild this Club. He is a liability. He contributes nothing other than certain relegation, crap manageral appointments, low morale and division. He does not bring anything to the table and certainly is no financial genius. Lowe is waiting to put this club into administration to seize control of it and continue plugging away until - as he perceives it - he ultimately proves all of us and every football journalist and punter wrong. Aint gonna happen Lowe.
SaintRobbie Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 I wouldn't take much notice of rent-a-gob Illingsworth. He was pretty anti Lowe this morning on Sky. Perhaps he should be given a chance Stanley. If he does a Wilde and lets us down judge him then.

CanadaSaint Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 Two old sayings spring to mind: The first one is "Necessity is the mother of invention". The second one has something to do with a stable door and a horse charging off into the distance, out of control. I'm sure there are plenty of others. alpine_saint Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 There could be something in this suggestion of Crouch joining forces. I have been pretty supportive of Crouch since my initial anger at him loaning out Rasiak and Skacel. If he joins forces with Lowe, he will have lost that support from me,at least, overnight. It has gone past the 3 of them swallowing pride and working together, it really has. SFC needs to be shot of the poisonous influence of Rupert Lowe once and for all, forever. He has done a colossal amount of damage to this club. To be honest, after the high farce of the AGM, I cannot see Crouch wourking with Lowe. For a start, Lowe would insist on being the top dog, you can be sure of it. Bizarre considering his shareholding is the Lowest (pun intended)
gordonToo Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 I would welcome this news, if true, as IMO it's the only way forward for the club in the absence of a take-over and given that Crouch is the only one of the major share-holders willing to put capital into the club (allegedly). derry Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 If Lowe has anything to do with Crouch now it's the height of expediency, trying to take himself out of the firing line and Crouch out of a shareholders alliance if one flares up. Talking of sayings, one comes to mind. "White man speak with forked tongue"
washsaint Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 WHo gives a monkeys arse what you think Alpine? Even if we were top of the Prem you'd still find something to moan about. Right now, the club needs everyone pulling in the same direction - we must be close to financial meltdown and as opposed to the 3 stooges fighting each other at least if they are trying to work together it will be for the good of the club as opposed to their egos. CanadaSaint Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 If it's happening it must surely have been triggered by something big on the horizon - a joint willingness to sell and get the hell out, impending administration, a willingness to jointly and equally pump some money in, a joint willingness to take on another major shareholder. What else? I can't see it being just to take Lowe out of the firing line and de-tooth Crouch, Dave. Leon's not that stupid - or, probably, forgiving. Hmm this starts to work Staying outside and throwing tantrums hasn't worked Using "friends" to post that they hope we lose matches to get change hasn't worked I wonder if he's realised the simple truth Join the board, work alongside Wilde & Lowe and in return for help with the cash flow they all negate each others more extreme excesses Then I woke up and got a beer deciding that was as funny as watching a repeat of Naked Gun on the movie channel here earlier this evening. hmmmm but maybe nah
Mole Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 Leon's not that stupid - or, probably, forgiving. I agree with this. Weston Saint Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 Just a thought. We all know Saints are in a financial mess and under pressure from the bank to reduce the overdraft still further. Just say Crouch, in return for a say in the future of SLH and knowing Lowes cost cutting is likely to kick in big time after June when many of the big contracts expire, offers a loan of £2m or so interest free with a time limit and review at the end of the season? Just another Wilde thought (see what I did there) is that Michael steps away as Football Chairman and is just a non executive Director leaving Crouch to resume his Football Chairmanship
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 Can you imagine the atmosphere at boardroom meetings between these 3 - pure poison I'd imagine . Plenty of rumours Wilde wants out , maybe just maybe Crouch will buy some/all Wilde's shareholding (at a big discount) and then Rupert will meet his Waterloo . Probably just wishful thinking though . Yes, it won't be nice, but we don't need the to like eachother and play footsy under the Board table. We need them to get their sh*t together and run this club the way it deserves to be run. But we've needed that for how long now? Oh well, they say it's never too late, but I have a ton of doubts.

CanadaSaint Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 There is no one out there prepared to buy us Bill. Not at present anyway Wouldn't it be fair to say, though, that the biggest obstruction to new ownership has been the inability of the Big Three to get their act together? While other (then less attractive) clubs have found buyers, anyone interested in us has lost interest after encountering the poisonous ownership situation. I agree that it's not likely, Ron, but I wouldn't rule it out. Something big has to be forcing these guys to meet.

Hi Bill, Ron, I've read your postings, allegedly Fulthorpe was at SMS this morning. I'm not sure what's going on. Duncan thinks things are happening next week, what, he wouldn't say. Crouch there yesterday, could be a red herring, there was a closed doors match. Likely that someone was in today, due to the Svennson announcement. As for Crouch, as of yesterday lunchtime he was still status quo, As for selling, we have over 4000 shareholders, 40ish with about 81%, 4000ish with 19%. It would need a lucrative offer to get the ball rolling. Pie in the sky, maybe Lowe and co want out and are looking for a buyer for their 36%ish.
