shame will be ruined by quality of football. perhaps we could play better on a uneven deeply rutted pitch that turns into a quackmire on raining

We could have done with a cow pasture in the Premiership

Obviously will be no Edwards, Fernandes, Bednarek tomorrow and probably not those who joined back later or were injured (Ramsdale, Smallbone, Aribo, THB) but otherwise might be some signs of what Still is thinking.

Would be great for Stewart to get a couple of goals and good minutes for Bazunu as assume he will start the season in goal.

I think I watched saints play on a cow pasture in one of those preseason visits to Sweden. It started to puss down with rain and everybody ran for shelter. I ran into the players changing rooms with Saints players. All us soaking wet. Was a bit awkward actually when I was asked to leave. 🤣

Should get a first look at Quarshie, he's been back in since the first day I think

First friendly of the season. Who’s likely not to feature?

Ramsdale, Fernandes, Edwards- later back

Bednarek, ABK - wanting out

Downs - not ready

who else do you think will be missing today?

While we can. I hear the mods are putting an end to puns, by inserting a claws into the forum terms of use.

I don’t think the Saints massif, YOOF!( central) the SO18 nor the Lordshill sniffers are bothered by this one. Im going but just as a warm up for Wrexham. 🏃‍♂️

Well, I cannot tell a lie, I'm mad enough to go although combining it with other local activities.

I'm trying out the full range of Steam Town Brewery as obviously hydration therapy is very important in this weather.

I understand the Eastleigh Spike Island massive are up for it today..

Oh indeed they are. Could be trouble brewing with the Riverside park steam train casuals. And in my first pint of the season…old speckled hen on draught. 🍺

Excluding the players who are yet to join up with the squad due to international duty, the only obvious omission there is Manning, isn't it?

You know what? I’d love a job on £100k pw like AR just to cop over a few crosses for the goalies from the sidelines pre match as he’s doing.Trousering £100k and all he has to do is knock a few crosses in for AM to catch. Must be up there with easiest ways to earn £100k. Think it’s about £15k per cross. Nice. WP sir.

Hardest bit is making them easy enough for AMC to catch

Just tried setting up an account and they're asking for upload of driving licence + other proof of address to verify the account. F*** that for a game of soldiers!

Good job Captain Jack is there to steady the nerves when the rest come up against the hostile Eastleigh crowd and roar.

Looks like it’s set up for a different line up in the second half.

Can’t make it today. Shame. Could have got the first “you don’t know what you’re doing” in after the multiple subs at HT. Let me know who bags that honour.

I've missed something - how come Ramsdale and Fernandes are late back? What international duty is there?

Wasn’t Fernandes involved in an U21 tournament?

No idea about Ramsdale, England squad ?

The main ones missing are Manning (maybe off to rangers?) and THB.

Don't think THB is anywhere near game action yet, every photo we see of him he seems to be working alone and wearing trainers rather than boots

Has he been injured?

Had ankle surgery at the end of the season, last we saw of him was limping off at Goodison I think
