Just read the pre-match info.

No flares.. miserable. But they didn’t say anything about red smoke bombs

Then some brilliant stuff this weekend:

- Trains cancelled due to engineering

- Decide to close all the roads anyway

- Busiest day for the port

- Derby day

Thanks to everyone involved

I believe the appropriate verb is either "slithered" or "scuttled"

Presumably written by Factless Allen as he is known by many of us, following his interesting coverage of Portsmouth's  affairs and various bankruptcies?

He also has a most excrucuatingly juvenile style which, if I were being generous, might be due to the audience he is writing for, although I can't believe they _all_ have a reading age of 12.

So I'll rely on your accounts here, cheers!

It is a massive day for Baz, if he makes a mistake he will never shake off the 'agent' tag and the fans wont forgive him. This adds to the massive pressure he will be under. I wonder if it would be prudent to play AM

Hard to tell, he'll either have the game of his life or he'll be bloody awful and gift them a goal !!

‘I’m not on the internet, but the number of people that had sent me his contact details was staggering. So I rang the chap up and, genuinely, left a really nice message, asking for the wig’s return.

‘He texted me back saying it wasn’t him and he needed to talk to someone about it - and the next day I received a special delivery. It’s the same state it was, still dirty and smelly, which reminds me, I must wash it.

That is so Pompey... #NotTheOnion

Interested to note that he actually said 'texted' in the grammatically correct past tense, so my respect for him has increased marginally.

I was thinking about this. Will's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't, same for Baz.

Don't play - WS isn't showing faith in GB to perform under intense pressure.

Play (and it goes wrong) - GB goes to bits and everyone says he should have played Macca.

I guess AM did play in the away game at Fratton Park, so he has some experience at least of the kind of game it is.

He could always play the "I've selected Al because Gav was away and I want to go with whoever was here to train all week" card, maybe?

My guess at line up;

Baz

Mads Stephens THB Manning

Charles Downes

Fellows Azaz Fraser

Archer

Plenty of good options on the bench to help in any situations that arise during the game and I'm expecting Will to make full use of his subs to impact things.

3-1 Saints.

I think you're right, that's the team that will start. Personally I'd swap Baz for Macca as suggested above but I don't think we will.

That's a strong line-up though, and then we have the options to unleash J-Rob, Scienza, Matsuki, Jander, Roscoe off the bench as required.

If we concentrate at the back and don't do anything silly then that should be more than enough to do them at home.

There's a reason he's still working for the same tiny, shit local newspaper after 25 years.

Bazunu will not be dropped, primarily because he’s a far better keeper than McCarthy (Still being the fifth consecutive manager to believe this) and has done nothing wrong this season. Our coaches and managers are not playing ‘the Bazunu game’ like a lot of people on the internet seem to.

Would be an error to drop Baz - doing so would damage him regardless in terms of his own confidence and trust from the fans. Equally, if you bring in Macca and he then has a bad game, we will be playing the season with 2 damaged keepers. We don't then have another keeper and so we would be undermining the season until Jan on the keeper front.

The only thing for it is to put faith in Baz and leave him to it - one thing i will say about him is that he's not a keeper with a weak mentality or likely to fold under the pressure - we'll get the same baz as always, and he may even step up. Personally i would be far more worried about some of the defenders in front of him shitting the bed, or potentially Downes doing something stupid or getting sent off. If Baz does have a bad game then it happens, but at least Macca is then untarnished for the rest of the season.

Well, we all hope this continues but lots of us are not confident that some howlers are just around the corner, if he screws up on Sunday he wont be forgiven
