What are we wanting this time around?

Can't see us having a yellow kit next season. Would happily have these 2 turned in to a home and away kit.

"Capture the moment. Capture the tradition."

Southampton are proud to combine the zeitgeist of the SR age, with the history of the club!

Home kit: Stripes, in excrement brown.

Away kit: Stripes, in cowardly yellow.

Third kit: Stripes in relegation mourning black.

Money grabbing anniversary kit: Burning car wreck orange, inscribed with the names of SR transfer duds.

I always quite liked this design (3rd kit from 2018).

Fully expect Sport Republic to sign off on some hideous designs.
I would say that maybe at least nine of their twelve kits under their remit have been pretty awful.

Really hope not, one of our worst ever.

That kit, and the red abominations under Cortese should be confined to the anal(l)s of history and never be seen again.

Yes please

I don’t see the fascination for the navy blue, but not totally against it.

As for the shirts - has to be stripes both sides for me. If not then I’d give up on stripes altogether.

Annual plea for the Keegan era shirt to return from me as well.

My suspicion for the 85-87 kit, although I hate it, is that it is the only non-traditional stripes design that hasn't been revived. And it would fit Puma's template easily. I wouldn't be adverse to going way back in our history to have red and white quarters.

Have often wondered why we haven’t gone for quarters or r/w halves. Be quite happy with that ( but no plain back ffs).

But I suspect the manufacturers and club are concerned how this detracts from the sponsor logo etc.

Vile. Well the away would be fine but I have never liked the original home, easily the worst kit we've ever had (but of course worn during our greatest period).

I’d argue our first full season under SR was the worst in my lifetime.

This seasons isn’t much better.

Really is no excuse for any party involved to come out with something less than this. Its time for red, white, and navy to return - we are not just another stoke/brentford/sunderland ffs.

We had both in the 1890s. I'd like to see them return for a change. I think we had an amber and black away kit around the same time; a return to that would be cool too.

I’m not sure the amber and black kit goes back that far. I’ve seen photos of us wearing plain white shirts as a change strip from early 20th century.

I think the amber and black was a post war introduction, possibly late 40’s/early 50’s. We kept this until about 1973 when we followed the fashion of the time for a yellow and blue kit, it seems like every other club at that point.

Agree about an amber and black away kit coming back though.
