Biggest upgrade

The truly massive upgrade we have seen from Baz to Peretz has made me think - can anyone think of an example where we have gone from so poor to so good in one hop. I genuinely can’t.

Like Baz, I was very late in seeing that Davis really wasn't up to it in the PL.

Boruc coming in that season was massive for us, Davis had been excellent in the EFL but it was clear he wasn’t at full time Prem keeper level.

I remember the thread on here being much like the Peretz one with a few people saying he wasn’t good enough, and one poster in particular saying he’d cost us more points than he would save us. Even he had changed his mind by the end of the season.

And McCarthy for Baz just in time for the playoffs could complete the top three in recent years.

After he joined, a lot of Beattie's goals were set up by Ormerod.

i was going to say surely when VVD started the 2015-16 season, but then i realized he replaced Alderweireld, who at the time was quality as well.

 

so not as drastic of a quality leap.
