hypochondriac Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I did rather think we'd be up for making one more high profile signing this summer if I'm honest (if we had kept Stewart for example would we have just signed Dobbin and the Charles replacement?) but maybe our financial situation is a little bit worse than I considered it to be. Obviously the window isn't shut yet it does sound like we would have to sell in order to properly strengthen elsewhere.

While the multi-club system poses absolutely no downside for you, the potential benefit is massive This transfer will happen if you pay 8 million euros. Alternatively, you would need to offer Jander as a replacement for Dennis. 3

In the meantime, it impact our costs and we have been relegated twice in that period. 1

Like I said there's very little benefit for us. I don't think there was any lack of resources or manpower attributable to the multiclub model. Our problems last time in the Prem stemmed from our DoF buggering off to Man Utd in April and not appointing a replacement for the subsequent transfer window. I can't remember any big money signings for Goztepe in 2024 which detracted from our own recruitment.

JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm in favour of a multi club model. However currently not being utilised properly from a Saints perspective. Matsuki was used wisely and came back a better player. That Romulu player, may have come to Saints if we'd stayed in the premier league but currently it's not working at club level for 2 out of the 3 clubs. Either go all in like City group or use the other two clubs better. I suppose end of day, Dragan is extracting money one way from the group.

He’s a first or second choice for most Championship clubs, IMO. We are unlikely to sign a third choice CF who is even as good as Archer, let alone better than him, again IMO. I thought that Mubama caused our CBs a lot of trouble last season when we played Stoke. I believe Tonda will help him thrive in our team and he should benefit greatly from the better service from both wings and from midfield than he got while at Stoke. I’d be surprised if we have three strikers better than Archer, Larin and Mubama after the transfer window closes. We then have to hope that Larin does not get a serious injury. 🤞 I agree with others that having BBD or DD as the third striker would consign us to another year in the Championship.
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) You can argue that all our recruitment has benefited from the multi club model because it allows us to pool the resources of three clubs into one global scouting network. (Impossible to prove admittedly) Edited 1 hour ago by Ex Lion Tamer 1
