Great win for Sholing yesterday. Into the FA Cup first round for the first time. Be hilarious if they get Leicester at home.

Salisbury away.

Is that classed as a local derby?

Eastleigh at home to Shrewsbury.

Nice draw at least on of them will make the 2nd round proper and just a game away from a potential trip to St Mary's, how good would Sholing v Saints be for a 3rd round tie

That Bromley manager was like Harris and banging on about banning Tonda for good of the game. Glad they are getting stuffed

Skates helping us out at Wolves.

Since we beat them we seem to have galvanised them

Yeah Wolves fans disappointed with that result but Skates doing well, could find them back above us this weekend

I’m struggling to work out what’s been the more enjoyable sporting spectacle today … Man Utd or the Aussies in South Africa. It’s a genuinely tough choice

Some unbelievable passing from Kane in the Bayern-Arsenal game. Great assist for the goal but several others too, including one from one end to the other from a goal kick!

Would be a crime if he's not Ballon d'Or winner, no-one else comes close to what he's done.

Conte in at United soon enough.

remarkable how relatively shit they have been for so long.

I think Conte would be another disaster for United, so I’m all for the idea.

That club is rotten, entire playing staff need to be sold and rebuilt, starting with their little rat of a captain. Get back to having a British backbone through the side.

Brave Bruno completely owns his performance, supports his boss and leads by example, as a captain should, to his colleagues.

No wait, he completely shifts the blame into the coaches, while whining like the man child he is.

Como are fifth in Serie A and finished 4th last season under Fabregas.

Utd have the man child, and I saw Maguire running back to stop something. Which he's probably still doing as I type this hours later. And after Martinez mewled his want away whine after being responsible for a couple of recent goals.

Yes, the Glazer's saddled them with debt when they could have been global powerhouses. But then, if they were global powerhouses, this lot wouldn't be playing for them.

Although I don't like the fellow I feel he and Martinez have a point and the owners will just change manager again to avoid scrutiny on themselves. It's still all chuckleworthy though as the Glaziers and their right wing co-owner are far worse, and even bigger leeches.

I’ve got Man United friends, like we all do, and also my extended family support Man United despite never being north of Aldershot.

For the last decade I’ve said United’s policy of chop and change means they will only ever be a mid-table club. They need a hard reset like Arsenal, back a manager and go from there for a few years.

The irony now when my father in law gets wound up I ask “why are you bothered or how are you surprised”? It’s the same defenders starting from seven years ago.

They overpay because of who they are as a club.

The hierarchy, the board, the managers and the players are all culpable.

This is why I rarely watch Sky anymore, it’s the same talking points week after week, year after year, when none of it is particularly surprising.

The laughable thing is that they spend all this money on players, managers, directors of football etc... consistently get it wrong, and yet never seem to learn... Like ffs - look at the league, look at who does it best, and then use your money to buy that team of people.... i.e., use those millions to go and pillage Brighton's management and scouting setup... not Jason bloody Wilcox from 2nd tier Southampton 😄

It’s just poor scouting.

I go to football and sit on the stand now and you can tell relatively kick who’s got a bit about them in terms of ability, mentality, drive etc.

Yet this new fangled world of data driven bullshit and media pressure to spend £300M the big clubs succumb to it and piss it up the wall.

Brighton are an excellent example of a team that has done it right. Even Fulham you could argue a few years back did the right thing, bringing in fringe players from bigger clubs that want to play etc.

Man United won’t win a trophy for another five years at least.

If starts from the top down but as long as you’ve got these bellend like Jim Ratcliffe making stupid statements and making ordinary working class people redundant the club will forever have a tarnished image and be fighting a losing battle.

They certainly have uncovered some nuggets, that none of us have heard of and the press don't throw themselves round the room over - until they are being sold to "Man U".

Whereas Manchester United can sign some Brazilian lad playing in the Amazon Basin 3rd Division - that again none of us have really heard of - and to quote the Mail "get their pants pulled down on the price" - and the football media in this country start selling us the Emperors new clothes, bigging him up with an undercurrent of "what you've never heard of him?" - "you obviously know nothing about football".
