I have been positive for the last two weeks and it has been thrown back in my face!!

2 0 Preston, outbreak of violence in stadium, Wotte blaming the tea lady for our plight saying she is not devoted to club, and administration on Tues!!

There, I feel better now!!!

LOL..............if we do fail to win (again) I for one will be very interested to see what or who takes the blame from Mr Chocolate !!

Im positive today as well. As I will be every game. Probably be really disppointed today as I have been every ****ing week.

I dont support Lowe, I will not March, I will support the team in full until the last kick of the last game. I will not shout abuse at the team, manager or Lowe. Why? No point, as it wont achieve anything / Change anything between now and the end of the season. The only thing that will help is a positive atmosphere in my opinion.

If we go down, then at the end of game on the last game I will walk onto the pitch in front of the directors box and shout abuse at Lowe until wither A) he resigns or b) I get dragged from the pitch and get arrested.

Feel free to join me.

The sun's shining, I feel lucky!

By now the Preston players will be recovering from food poisoning/travel sickness/five false fire alarms and may not even have enough subs.

By lunchtime a bout of flu will be flowing through their squad and we will cruise to a glorious victory.

perhaps.

I foresee 0-0 until 8 minutes from half-time. They will then score as we switch off thinking about tea and biscuits in the changing room at half-time. We will all sit there as they come out for the 2nd half thinking "hey, perhaps we can get a lucky one and get out of this"...but no, Saints manage to wrestle despair from the jaws of defeat and allow another one on one with Kelvin, but after pulling off his 7th world-class save this time they get through to score a 2nd. We then step-up a gear for the final 35 minutes but they shut-up shop knowing full well that the game is won. The 2nd half performance provides Wotte with his usual post match commentary (b*ll*cks) stating that we were the best team, playing the best football and he cannot understand why we lost. There are boos and singing of "you don't know wotte you're doing" and mass demonstration outside reception. We all go home, come on here and spit bile for 2 hours before going to bed.

Not sure why I am going to be honest - it really will be something like that. Its a bit like buying a McDonalds - you're hungry, but you know deep down that you're not going to be truly satisfied with the experience and inside it ain't doing you too much good! But you stuff it down anyway.

COYR!

if I'm honest I have gone into every game thinking we have half a chance. Having turned over Reading, and more than matched Wolves and Brum there is nothing to fear. Unfortunately we've failed to match my hope with performances. Still today is another day and I'll try to forget what has gone before and get behind the lads as usual.

Nothing wrong with being positive as long as its tinged with realism.........its hope rather than expectation nowadays with Saints........ and even the hope is a bit too optimistic!!

thats the trouble with this board, anyone offering any positivity at all is classed as delusional even if that positivity is backed by genuine realism.

I get the feeling that supporters that go to a lot of games, especially away from home where we have seen one or two victories are a little more upbeat than those that just see the defats roll in.

If you are at the match you can see the effort (or not as the case may be), you can see how the match ebbs and flows, see the poor refereeing decisions, see the poor tactical choices by the manager etc. and the match becomes much more than just a defeat and 0 points. You see the reasons for failure and you can hope that these are put right next time round.

If you just see the negative result come up on sky or teletext all you see is the hard facts and that has got to hurt a lot more. I guess thats why those that don't attend are more pessamistic and hard nosed about our situation than those that do attend.

But don't you wish we could go along to a game with some hope? I do. I turn up expecting us to lose - I really wish I didn't feel that way, but that's what Lowe has delivered for years now - low expectations. And even if we scrape a win, I am wondering whether that will actually make me feel better. If we win today and then again at the next game, perhaps then I might start to believe again and re-gain some hope.

Gutted about today, I think we have a real chance but I have chicken pox so have to miss the game.

The good news? The only other two home games i've missed this season were Brum in the cup and Norwich. w00t!

In exactly the same position, although I have tonsillitis :(

Will have a little bet at home or something.

good post -although did give me a funny image of you still shouting abuse, alone in empty stadium when Lowe has gone on his summer holidays preparing for Div 1 !

I take it you don't know that the last game of the season is away to Notts Forest then?

Sunny south coast big goal bonanza.

Saints to win 3-1.

This is the start of an amazing run that will see us just scrape survival. We will be sold to a local cash rich fan and happy days will be here again.

Mr Lowe will slide back under the stone from whence he came.

wow!

You got the first bit right.

I can't wait for the rest to fall into place :)

Why? I could have said exactly the same to many of the doom and gloom merchants over the weeks. The response on another thread to a light hearted dig at those that said we would lose EVERY game just proves that most just like to moan. You included it seems.

I posted on this thread, agreeing with someone that I felt confident about winning!

You'll have to find someone else to have an argument with.
