Dicko Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 I use FlyBe a lot They are a truly awful company, with appalling customer service It's the reason I haven't bought a shirt this season, I refuse to walk around with their name on my chest

Micky Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 Taking a wild guess: "Other professional bodies and businesses don't want to disassociate themselves from us." According to the Echo report FlyBe clearly are considering that though, and as they are our main sponsor that is worrying. It wouldn't surprise me if other sponsors did the same - especially if, as is likely, we are relegated and hence our profile drops in the commercial areanas. That was simply the point I was making based on the report that was highlighted.
WestSaint Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 Flybe did this to Exeter as well and they are now in the play off's, I think it may say more about them then us - perhaps they are just looking for a way out !!
Viking Warrior Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 Flybe What a ****e company. expensive rude customer service, charge for having a suitcase if you come from another airline. Saints would do well to get rid of that shower of ****e. However we are stuck with that airline for another 4 years up here. Commonly known as flymaybe or fly****e. Bunch of money grapping parasites. Badger Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 Would mean we get a new home shirt next year :-) Actually, that is a good point as I thought Flybe had already committed to continuing the sponsorship.Consequently the club made an announcement earlier in the season that the same home shirt would remain. It is possible though that such sponsorship was conditional on remaining in the CCC.

Channon's Sideburns Posted 5 April, 2009 Share Posted 5 April, 2009 Seeing as FlyBe were not impressed with being told about Admin by the press and not the club, I'm not surprised...they also clearly state that stories about Dyer, BWP and McGoldrick have been a influence in their thoughts.. So, basically, Lowe has foooked them off with how he has run the business...which in turn reflects on FlyBe. TBH If I was the sponsor and found out via the Media rather than the club, I'd be fed up too.

I suppose Carlsberg will be rushing to end there involvement with Liverpool because of the Gerrard affair... I'd rather not have a sponsor anyway, it's a shame its a major source of income. Looks ridiculous on the shirt.
hamster Posted 5 April, 2009 Share Posted 5 April, 2009 If they want out of the resurging club than "cheerio, pleasae shut the door on the way" out I say. Anyway, I wouldn;t mind betting that when there ';ega; team' check the contract it is actually with SLH and not SFC anyway. Watch this space.... OWTSGMI Posted 6 April, 2009 Share Posted 6 April, 2009 I use FlyBe a lot They are a truly awful company, with appalling customer service It's the reason I haven't bought a shirt this season, I refuse to walk around with their name on my chest Totally agree! I signed up for their credit card, which promised a free european return flight. When I tried to use it, found it was worthless, could not use for any flight I actually wanted to go on! Have now booked flights with British Airways. OK its from gatwick but costing half what it would cost from Southampton. Refuse to wear their logo Tw*ts
Wes Tender Posted 6 April, 2009 Share Posted 6 April, 2009 I was on a Flybe flight to Jersey and the return last week. On the way out, the flight was delayed by fog at Southampton and I only got to begin my business over there after arriving at 12, from a flight scheduled for 8.30am. The fog was clear over Southampton way before that and you naturally suspect that they combined the earlier flight with the one for 11.10am. As others have surmised, things aren't exactly rosy for the airlines and perhaps these are their excuses for a get-out. If they discontinue their sponsorship, does that mean that they will have to change the livery on the Matt Le Tissier plane?
paulwantsapint Posted 6 April, 2009 Share Posted 6 April, 2009 (edited) If flybe f#ck off breaking the contract do they have to pay us anything like a penalty clause? Do we then get shirts without stupid box on them? Edited 6 April, 2009 by paulwantsapint sp

Fan The Flames Posted 6 April, 2009 Share Posted 6 April, 2009 What a bunch of jumped up ****s, demanding to be the first to know about the club. They entered a financial deal to purchase space on the shirt, for the paulty sum of quarter of a million, thats **** all. Now join the back of the queue with everybody else. It's in your time of need you find out who your friends are. That will be Flybe on my ever growing list of companies to never use.
a1ex2001 Posted 7 April, 2009 Share Posted 7 April, 2009 They are paying us peanuts, it works out at less than 5K a week so effectively they are funding one decent player.
sadoldgit Posted 7 April, 2009 Share Posted 7 April, 2009 Weren't we told that Lowe being here was the reason people weren't investing? Surely now they will be queuing up to pour money into the club???
rallyboy Posted 7 April, 2009 Share Posted 7 April, 2009 yeah you are right, Flybe coming along and giving us money, the sooner we chase away those sort of companies the better. We don't need their poxy sponsorship, keeping us afloat and offering hope in a financial crisis, we can easily find 250,000 people to stick a quid in a bucket. And why should they be told anything, it isn't like they are the official club sponsor and their logo has been used illegally on a financial debacle announcement is it? Fans as well, they keep coming along and wanting stuff like value for money, let's get the ****ty stick out of the cupboard, wave it about when they come up to the ticket office. The sooner we drive all financial support out of SMS the better things will look, it has been lack of debt that has held us back.

Flybe don't give us money, they rent space on our shirts for advertising, its a commercial transaction. No ones pushing them away but if they want to **** off let them, we will sell the space to someone else. So the logo was wrongly used so ****ing what, are they really that up themselves that they think it damaged their brand. They couldn't even wait a decent amount of time before putting the boot in and for that reason alone they can go **** themselves. There's plenty of companies willing to jump aboard. Badger Posted 8 April, 2009 Share Posted 8 April, 2009 Just been browsing an Exeter City forum and found the following snippets : This was posted on 12th March: Flybe aren't renewing their sponsorship with Southampton A more recent post indicates that Flybe have had a bit of a huff with Exeter regarding a press story which indicates they are a bit sensitive to not being kept fully appraised of all things : I thought we still had some fallout from the shennanigns over christmas when an announcement was imminent but a press story ****ed off FlyBe.
