Yes

No

My view is a clear no. Wotte has been crap. If he was in charge from the start of the season he would of still got us relegated. He had 18 games which is only 5 short of half a season. Was here from pre-season and knows the players. 19 points from 18 games x 46 = 48 points. Which would still have resulted in relegation.

As much as I feel our club is crying out for some stability it has to be a No. I do feel sorry for the bloke as he has had his hands tied pretty much. Not a lot of managers would be able to do much better with the players he has had to pick from this season.

No thanks get rid start again (if we actually have a club!!) and see about stability from that point onwards. Even in a dead rubber "pride" game his subtitutions knackered the team and as someone said above hes hardly set the world alight with arguably players of better ability than the players we'll have here next year. See ya Mark, thanks for a whole lot of nothing.

to many variables as to owner, budget etc

some of names mentioned on here could be a lot worse but unfortunately for him Wotte would find it hard to be seen as part of new order!

I mean on his performance as manager in his near half a season in charge.

Based on his performance regardless of owner etc a clear no.

If we need a guy to manage on a shoe string next season and get players playing better then they are he is clearly not a guy who can do that.

He has failed simple as that. And because of that he should have the dignity to resign like he said he would. But he would never get another job at this level even league one level. So he wont just walk.

No - like his enemy, apparently, before him he has been and abject failure but in terms of results and tactics.

Clean slate next season - aim for comfortable midtable and then build to get promoted within the next three years.

We need some realism....

Ordinarily, like a poster above, I'd go for the stability; and it's no disrespect to Wotte, who has done OK with what he's had at his disposal, but I'll say NO. A clean sweep is what is required.

I'm not even sure I want the same players, because I want the least reminders of the previous regime.

not being awkward but he is better than some on offer. Same argument I had with certain poster on here many times when GB was here - he said anyone would do better, but I argued that if he went we would get cheap option who probably would be worse - and we did!

If we have loads of money I am sure a bigger name could be attracted.

If not and we had option of someone like (my personal campaign!) Tisdale as option I would go for Tisdale.

If it was one of the usual names that come out of sacked/out of work managers I would stick with Wotte.

Um, well excluding Dodd and Gorman I think most people would actually be of the opinion that we did end up with a better long-term option.

Unfortunately someone saw fit to sack him.

NP wasn't GB's replacement - that was the point.

Sorry Nick but I don't think there is any way Tisdale will come here as manager this season now that Exeter have been promoted. (not that I would complain if we got him!!)

My shout of who is available would be Boothroyd.

Apart from that, will be interesting to see if Dave Jones will keep his job after Cardiff fell away & missed the play-offs today, if he became available would he be interested?

Why not?

Any sane manager in League One would rather manage Southampton than Exeter.

Why?? He's had back to back promotions at Exeter and has things organised the way he wants down there. He will have little pressure on him.

Or he could join the soap opera that is SFC.....

Put that way, I agree.......Exeter is a far more attractive option!

the jobs just don't compare, yes same league, yes points deducted but for ambitious manager signing 3 year contract - no brainer he probably wouldn't even ask the salary before driving up to start. Get real.
