St Marco Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 Yes or No My view is a clear no. Wotte has been crap. If he was in charge from the start of the season he would of still got us relegated. He had 18 games which is only 5 short of half a season. Was here from pre-season and knows the players. 19 points from 18 games x 46 = 48 points. Which would still have resulted in relegation. Ewell Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 As much as I feel our club is crying out for some stability it has to be a No. I do feel sorry for the bloke as he has had his hands tied pretty much. Not a lot of managers would be able to do much better with the players he has had to pick from this season.

Stu Man Do Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 No thanks get rid start again (if we actually have a club!!) and see about stability from that point onwards. Even in a dead rubber "pride" game his subtitutions knackered the team and as someone said above hes hardly set the world alight with arguably players of better ability than the players we'll have here next year. See ya Mark, thanks for a whole lot of nothing.

I mean on his performance as manager in his near half a season in charge. Based on his performance regardless of owner etc a clear no. If we need a guy to manage on a shoe string next season and get players playing better then they are he is clearly not a guy who can do that. He has failed simple as that. And because of that he should have the dignity to resign like he said he would. But he would never get another job at this level even league one level. So he wont just walk. David Strover Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 No - like his enemy, apparently, before him he has been and abject failure but in terms of results and tactics. St Landrew Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 Ordinarily, like a poster above, I'd go for the stability; and it's no disrespect to Wotte, who has done OK with what he's had at his disposal, but I'll say NO. A clean sweep is what is required. I'm not even sure I want the same players, because I want the least reminders of the previous regime.

Same argument I had with certain poster on here many times when GB was here - he said anyone would do better, but I argued that if he went we would get cheap option who probably would be worse - and we did! If we have loads of money I am sure a bigger name could be attracted. If not and we had option of someone like (my personal campaign!) Tisdale as option I would go for Tisdale. If it was one of the usual names that come out of sacked/out of work managers I would stick with Wotte. Edited 3 May, 2009 by NickG
