  1. Probably. If it's good enough for Alex Ferguson and Christiano Ronaldo then I think we should honour that without dins on here getting all upset. He doesn't owe us anything, that's for sure.
  2. You win the prize for predictable Saintsweb response. Fine. Koeman has never, ever been at fault in his dealings with any players, while Mark Hughes has taken four different clubs into the top ten, including a top 6 finish and three of the clubs comparable sized to Saints, by being a ***** with no idea what he is doing. But of course. Well done.
  3. It's very easy to say he isn't a french cry baby in hindsight, "Turkey". Although it is quite difficult to say it with a mouthful of Toblerone.
  4. We will not finish 6th. Get used to it.
  5. There are stories of Koeman falling out with players, I could probably name a goalkeeper who doesn't like him a whole heap right now. And one player has fu ck ed off after a few weeks at the club. And there are plenty of players who think Hughes is a great man manager. You don't take two teams into the top seven, and two others to solid mid table by being a poor man manager.
  6. He's a manager who is clearly competent. Not a guaranteed success but as good a bet as you can get. A Dutch Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, Martin O'Neill type. We're in solid hands - enough in the tank to steer through a safe, if not spectacular, season.
  7. When does Alpine say that it is easy to say all this in hindsight, or has he already done that today?
  8. Oh god. No Victor or Cork against a big Sam team. Possible mauling.
  9. So, is Osvaldo on the plane back to Eastleigh, then?
  10. Laughable stuff. Well done.

    No news?

Well, yeah. I'm on Tapatalk most of the time so never look at that news page, and there is no need to. It's all on the forum.

    No news?

The fact you seem to know all the news suggests an answer to your observation.
  13. Half of that time in League One.
  14. Who is the "quality player" we were "replacing" with the loan of Taider? Apart from that one loan to replace Shaw. Doesn't seem unreasonable to me, and "familiar with English football", which seems jolly important to you. And as for players "wholly unfamiliar with English football" I assume you don't mean Long or Forster, but do mean Pelle, Gardos and Tadic. So three. Kinda like the three we signed last summer? Or the more than three the summer before? Yes?
  15. Except it was LVG who started the whole story by talking about Shaw's fitness weeks ago and making him train on his own. And Hodgson said nothing about MUFC's training program or Shaw at MUFC.
  16. Have you read what Hodgson said? How is that "crucifying" him?
  17. Clearly we haven't.
  18. Not enough for anyone on this forum to recommend we sign him. And at 26 let's not assume he has boat loads of potential.
  19. A goal every four games at second/third tier level. Patchy career achieving nothing of note. 26 years old, older than Lallana. Eight million quid. There are no players that fit that description or anything close to that have been touted/recommnded on here. The closest could be Rhodes but his goal record pi ss es all over McGoldrick and is younger.
  20. For a 1 hour 20 minute trip? I reckon some of the players might own an iPad. They're not flying to Australia on Ryan Air, or stood on the roof on the Delhi express.
  21. Because a train is quicker and a nicer trip than sitting on the sodding M3 forever.
  22. The next player we sign will be a player who knows their own mind, they will be a very social animal but also likes their own space. Family will be important for the next player we sign. This October will be a lucky month for our next signing and now might be the time for them to make that big decision. With the moon rising in Capricorn I think it is the time to start a new chapter and not put off to tomorrow what you can do today.
  23. Peter Shilton, not once, not three times, but twice.
  24. Was in the Evening Standard yesterday too. True story.
  25. No.
