We've just watched a very good match, which bodes well for the coming season and if you watched on Sky (like many of us), you'd have seen Rickie declare his undying love for Saints as "his" football team along with Liverpool. Proper club legend. I don't see anything wrong with him expressing an opinion. Did you also hate Mick Channon and Matt le Tissier at various times in their post-Saints careers for expressing opinions? Rickie loves the club, the feeling is mutual.

Definitely agree with this! We don't have Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling, Dzeko, Costa and neither could we afford them this season or last season. We'll have to hope we get lucky with a lesser known player or that Pelle, Long and Jay Rod form a ridiculously good front 3.

After today's match and knowing that we have Jay Rod, Ramirez, Taider on the bench and a couple of academy grads who could make the step up, I don't think we need him. I'd rather we got another centre back and an additional back-up goalie if Boruc goes.

This team could be very good actually, but they definitely need some gelling time - I'd get a friendly (behind doors) booked in mid week if I were Saints)

Lovren hasn't suddenly turned into a rubbish centre back, I honestly don't know why people are surprised - he was awesome for us last season. One of the very best centre backs in Europe.
