  1. There have been for years.
  2. Human centipede? Shot gun I'm at the front.
  3. Let's face it, he probably is a very good CxO level person, except without an unblemished track record of handling HR; there have been various people who have come and gone in the last couple of years. However it is odd that the owners/investors don't have someone else on the inside to make sure that a) their investment/money is being handled correctly and b) to report back to them on the general well being of the company. I suspect they would like someone else in one of the boardroom/CxO level jobs to act as their sanity check to everything Cortese/the CEO wants to do. Why are we doing that? Is there a cheaper way of doing that? Can we do this more quickly by spending less on this? etc etc etc.
  4. Has no one spotted the link?? Sir Alex resigns as Man Utd manager. Sir Alex wants a Director position. Pochettino goes out of his way to butter up Sir Alex and talk about wine. Cortese considers his tenure as CEO. Therefore, Sir Alex will become our CEO. Sorted.
  5. Don't be a helmet. We've been promoted twice in two seasons and still have some division 3 & division 2 footballers at the club. The players have learnt and are adapting, we've had a mid-season change of manager and staff ... I'd say we're doing okay. Any Saints fan who didn't expect a relegation fight this season would have been totally deluded.
  6. Bullsh*t. Sorry, but I totally disagree with you - I know of so many people who are wanting to adopt by are stuck in the "process". I also know many people who would adopt older children rather than babies as they want to help them and bring them up as rounded as they can. These people should not be allowed to bring those poor kids up, full stop.
  7. There is no rule of thumb what-so-ever. It all depends on your deeds. In my last house, I had responsibility for 2 sides and the bottom fence ... they ALL blew down ... almost 30 fence panels ... Moved house. New house I have the same again, except luckily one side is a very long brick wall, which is very nice.
  8. Brilliant, now I'm reading at properly and slowly as "Value Added Tax" ... that's made me chuckle. It should be stripped back to what it really was supposed to be - a tax on luxury items. If I went and spunked £1000 on a new TV, which to be honest, who needs to do as you could get a smaller/cheaper one, pick one up for free etc., it's just keeping up with everyone else on an item we don't actually NEED. But anyway, if I were to do that, then yes, it's a luxury item and should (in my opinion) be subject to extra tax. It's like stamp duty and inheritance tax - they weren't intended to get everyone, they were taxes on the properly wealthy landowners - just that they never evolved as the cost of living and house prices increased. Which to my mind is extremely unfair. Let's face it, what does £250k get you in most of the South in terms of housing? Naff all really. Certainly not a house big enough to bring a family up and have space to work from home, but yes, even in the mid-80s, that would have got you a sizeable pad with big garden. So to pay 3% stamp for an average family house and then have your kids pay inheritance tax on it when you die and give it to them is outrageous. Anyway, moan over. As you were.
  9. Nothing really against Man Utd - prefer them to City, Chelsea and Arsenal for various reasons. But this is a real shame, big loss for them, big loss for football. I honestly don't think we'll see anyone like him again. This is someone who took an average team (and they were average) and made them the biggest club in the world from top to bottom. It wasn't the owners that did it, HE did it. Fair play that man, awesome work.
  10. God, I see far better looking women than them almost every day at Fleet station in the morning!! The one from Lymington is by far the best there.
  11. He's a boring tool.
  12. You know what, enough conjecture - we'll win this weekend and ......... we'll be safe.
  13. Agree with this! I know a good sponsorship deal is vital financially, but it'd be lovely to be so self-sufficient that we could have a charity as a shirt sponsor. To be honest, there are almost too many sponsors in football now anyway, the return must be so diluted and probably harder than ever to measure. It's hard enough to measure marketing ROI on social media, let alone on a team/in a ground/in a programme that is totally diluted ... ?
  14. Never had anything against Reading, just a bit of a boring, nothing club ... as shown by the masses of empty seats in a crucial fixture. Very poor.
  15. Thought he spoke really well as he was put on the spot about the Adkins/MP thing. Said the team has improved and is improving all the time; thought it was well said - good bit of PR training.
  16. He could still do a job for us as a bit part player and coach!!
  17. Really? I often get applauded at work after presenting and leading, but then that's also because they are appreciating my impressive human being.
  18. Agreed and that goes with what Turkish was saying - it's about emotion. Planning it is a little bit noddy, especially as we won't have anything to really celebrate ... I'd rather smash Stoke 5-0, applaud the lads for a great 1st season back as they do a lap of honour, then head back to the pub for drinks.
  19. That Swansea website has made my eyes hurt
  20. No. Black shorts now looks so 1990s daarhlings ... look at Sunderland, vile. Look at Saints, classy.
  21. Absolutely nothing wrong with the location at all. Out of town grounds are sh*t.
  22. Thanks
