Sadly accurate. Would be class to get it going but can’t see it
-
Top day out that. Took a while to get going but we were always going to get over the line today. There aren’t many players in the league I’d want to start over Stu Armstrong when he’s at his best. MOTM for me. Though Romeu deserves a shout, he absolutely bossed the middle of the park today. KWP an unbelievable player and getting better every week. We’re a really, really good side these days.

I don’t think so, Man Utd vs Brighton was on Tuesday, along with the CL ties. Absolute bollocks from the Premier League as usual.
-
I thought the defender was getting across, at least it was going to be close. For me the ref hasn’t made a clear and obvious error by awarding the yellow, so shouldn’t overturn it.

United were awful again. Brighton missed some great chances, harsh red, Ronaldo scored a great goal but missed a couple of sitters. Even with 10 men Brighton had chances then done on the break in injury time. United are a horrible side. Some quality but lazy, moaning, entitled and pretty poor to watch. They won’t finish 4th.

It really should be a midweek in March. The week after our FA cup game or the week after that. Them and us have only got weekend fixtures between our cup game and the international break. Ridiculous that it still hasn’t been rescheduled
-
He did really well to hold his run and stay onside. Clever pass too
-
Agreed, I think we have to start Perraud and Moi down the left after that last night. They seemed to have a great understanding. United are fragile and don’t seem to graft for each other. Take the game to them and don’t let them have it their way, they’ll soon by moaning at each other. Need to be better at putting our chances away though.

There’s way more to it that that IMO. As others have said, the LB/RB situation has helped, Salisu winning everything and Bednarek generally decent, keeps the pressure off the keeper. JWP and Romeu have been absolutely class through this run of form too. A settled back 4 and organised CM, that’s what results are built on.

I don’t think many believed it’d be our day after the handball by Hojbjerg wasn’t looked at, Spurs 2nd wasn’t chalked off, it was just going to be another good Saints performance where missed chances and dodgy decisions were going to keep us from the points. Unreal character from the lads who never let their heads go down, and deservedly dragged us back into it. Not a very Saints like thing to happen especially away at one of the ‘big’ sides. Love to see it. More at Old Trafford please

Chicken and egg isn’t it. If they don’t lower the prices of match tickets across the board, we won’t see increased attendance, barring an unexpected improvement in results week in week out. Especially the way the economy is going. The demand is there when tickets are affordable. The Bundesliga have got it right on that issue. Big stadiums, on average, and lower ticket costs
-
Yeah agreed. However one player doesn’t make a team and Eddie Howe has never been great at organising a defence. Targett is hardly prem standard, Burn was decent at Brighton when I saw him but then they were well coached and organised under Potter. It’s yet to be seen if Trippier fancies the battle. And I still don’t think they’ve got loads of goals in them. Maybe clutching at straws.

Still no news on the rearranged Newcastle game then. Of all our remaining games it’s the one I want to win the most. As petty as it is, I hope their overpaid panic buys are underwhelming and ultimately get them relegated
-
I’ve watched a few of their recent games as well and how they’ve not managed to win most of them is hilarious. Especially the Palace game, they absolutely dominated and still managed to lose. Like us, they play some nice stuff but are mentally fragile and struggle to put the ball in the net. Can’t call this one at all, one of these days they’ll actually bury their chances and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s against us.
-
Very assured performance. Passed well, some neat turns and got us moving forward through the lines. Look forward to seeing more.

Wouldn't it be great to get a Hojbjerg replacement who's actually an upgrade who then makes Hojbjerg look a bit of a tit when we play Spurs? Their fans would hate it. I'm not sure how it's going to go for him at Spurs, he's definitely not getting anyone out of their seats (other when they've got to dive out of the way of his row Z shots).

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m

Boufal an absolute liability. No football brain.
-
We’ve got some really unintelligent players. Boufal never uses his head but that’s a really stupid one. Amazing save from Macca
-
Possession at the back, give it away in midfield, scramble back outnumbered, repeat. Sh*t 2nd from them from a keeping error but we’ve been asking for it, way too open. That said, get the next goal and they may get nervous, they’re as good at throwing away leads as we are.
-
I might be wrong but I’d assume that comment was meant to be taken with a pinch of salt
-
Can’t see the club going for that on recent form.

Brilliant performance. I'd give JWP MOTM for shifting to right back against Zaha and absolutely dominating him. Who'd have thought he'd grow to be our hard tackling hatchet man (after Romeu). The only time he got skinned, he tracked Zaha for half the pitch and flattened him with a perfect challenge, setting up a counter attack. Brilliant. Armstrong, Redmond and Bertrand absolutely brilliant. Weird performance from Palace, they just stood off and let us play. Not saying we didn't play brilliantly but they played into our hands. For a short spell they tried to press us into mistakes and we still look a bit dodgy when facing our own goal but they didn't keep it up for long. Biggest criticism is that we didn't bury them, and even at 2-0 with 20 to go you still wonder if we're going to shoot oursleves in the foot. 4-0 wouldn't have been an unfair result.
-
Other than giving Redmond a 'rest', I'd like to see us unchanged. Our away form has been solid all season, both teams prefer to play on the counter, they've got a few exciting attacking players. Could be interesting and end-to-end or a complete non-event, hard to tell.

Spurs woeful by the sound of it. Can't see Jose lasting too long.
