Merry Christmas everyone, here is to an eventful 2015!

Interested in the fact that our youngsters have hardly been given a chance this season. I was expecting to see more of Reed, Targett and Isgrove amongst others especially with RK's reputation. Is there any reason, or simply not wanting to change a winning formula? So far, Saints have used just 22 players this season, one of the fewest in the Premier League. Seven of those have played fewer than 50 minutes in total. So just 15 players have featured for a significant amount of time this season. Six of them have started every game and four have played every single minute. Only Chelsea have had as few players start every game and no team has used as many ever-present players. With squad depth now an issue due to injury and form and games approaching in quick succession, would it have been better to be more proactive earlier or do the youngsters not need so much of a gradual introduction to first team games?

You are wrong, he is only thinking about us Saintweb-ers, as he has shown, by posting important hot off the press news while he is out and about. Not many people would do that for us.

Phone use while driving, should it ALL be banned?

A difference is those on the phone will talk regardless of what is happening on the road, whereas those in the car tend to be aware of road conditions. -
Saints vs Sheffield Utd (A) Capital One Quarter Final
Doctoroncall replied to Bearsy's topic in The Saints
Hi, Just seeing if I can go to this, will let you know soon. -
If it happens, it will be interesting to see what the club do to adapt to the increased number of games and introducing the young players. The danger of bringing in additional players will impact the playing development of younger players, especially if it's a short lived European campaign.

nine out of 12 of our games have been against sides in the bottom 11!

What have we got to lose? The pressure isn't on us, Man City need the win more than us because of the expectation of a title challenge and the world class players they have. So may as well go for it and see happens. -
Perhaps where we finish could ditate what will happen to Bertrand. Just think what happen with the RB position over the summer and the reason Chambers was sold.
-
They have only signed one player this season, the rest are loans, yet they still have a huge squad. Maybe if they stopped offering such a huge contracts to players, the players will be more willing to leave and/or have a need to perform?

Is voting now down to the public or is it still a jury decision?

Come on Hull, spurs don't deserve to win.

“We still think we can finish in the top four and I think that would be a remarkable achievement considering we’ve been in the Champions League,” Lallana told the BBC. “But we don’t want to look that far and we want to get back to winning ways.” Doh!

Isn't this the second time Bearsy has passed away?

It would be nice to hear from all the old guard that have kept this Saga going with great insights, facts and many many laughs, that includes are fishy friends!

Will he be able to have carte blanche to do that at Spurs considering the personnel they currently have (Baldini for one)? Lets not forget the cultural aspects we have at the club seems to be all encompassing, it needs leadership and management to be committed to it to become reality. He may tick all the boxes of what they want to do but is he suitable for the role and club.

I'm with you on this thread, but not on the articles, next you'll start saying all this winning is boring and tedious The only ones that will lose out financially IF we do well is the club we displace. The media will love a story like this (rags to riches) and then there will be articles of were it all went wrong for team X.

That is a surprise as the players said trading under Poch was more intense and Koeman has introduce more technical trading over the physical side. I suppose most teams will be about the same at this stage, but interesting to see number of minutes on the pitch for all players tosee what difference there is.

Down to twelve, Everton up to ten with Liverpool between them. All on 14 points from 11 games.

and let battle commence!

Dyer has been playing well for Swansea this and last season. Makes you wonder what he has to do to get in to the squad over a guy that only just returned to fitness for his club.
