  1. great summary and puts more support behind the opinion that koeman isn't right for us
  2. i'd go with rodgers, already tried the big time and found out its not his level but great for a club like us and less likely to be tempted away once we string a decent season together maybe he could tempt lallana back too.......
  3. fair enough but looking at the stats for 2015 his record isn't great the players body language is poor they don't appear to play for each other there is no passion, drive or urgency they lack confidence as an example eddie howe is doing a fantastic job with, on paper, a far inferior set of players and i firmly believe that if poch was in charge of this lot we'd be playing much much better it's not just that we're losing, it's the performances that go with it i'm a ST holder with a 200 mile round trip and i'm not sure i can really be arsed to watch anymore passionless sh1te
  4. we had 22 pts by mid jan when adkins got fired and were improving, this season we have 24 pts and are getting worse - i think adkins team from 12/13 would beat koemans without breaking sweat. we haven't looked good all season, they don't look like a confident team who play for each other and koemans seemingly 'whatever' attitude is not right. when the team spirit and unity is questionable then the buck stops firmly with the management. take away our first ten games from last season (when it was described as riding the poch wave or similar), our form wasn't that impressive at all and would have placed us firmly mid-table. I think we've only won 8 games since the end of last March. time for a change
  5. clasie was pushed off the ball by lallana for one of liverpools early goals in that cup game, sounds like same has happened again - surely reed would be better
  6. 100% this - his moaning about the team/players reminds me of redknapp
  7. where is the "public slating" - he says the academy players aren't up to the right level yet but some are on his radar, hardly a slating. if targett is one of the best from the academy right now then koeman's clearly got a point
  8. I predicted we'd win 3-1 and wqs accused of being ******ed....well i am a bit ******ed but we seem to have baģged 4!! Love it.
  9. wholly agree, except the manager is responsible for making them into a team that play with passion, conviction and determination regardless of what he has to work with - sadly i think koeman has failed here
  10. arse - 3-1 win wet spam - 2-0 win norwich - 1-0 win we've turned a corner
  11. Have a cool yule everyone......from somewhere near Bromley
  12. Even though everything points to an easy arsenal victory, i think we might win this - at some point the players will respond and put in a performance, all the sh1t thats been flying around about them could be the thing that finally gets them going. i farking hope so
  13. we've won just 7 of our last 25 premier league games - that's a 28% win ratio - firm relegation form as I said on another thread, whilst other teams are investing and improving each year, we are using the team from two seasons ago as some sort of benchmark. That's not development, its standing still and other clubs are steadily getting better than us the club need to properly invest in the team even to keep up with the rest, if we don't then our relegation is inevitable the other factor is team spirit, which we haven't really had all season - this is RKs responsibility and he needs to step up
  14. It's not the talent within the team that is the problem, it's the spirit, passion, togetherness and drive they clearly lack - we just don't seem to play for each other anymore. It's koemans job, as the manager, to sort it out but he's clearly not having much success and looks very frustrated. As many have said before, something is not right within the team at the moment and until it is fixed I believe we are going to continue on this dreadful run of results and performances. An easy win for spurs today, 0-4.
  15. they will rip us a new a55hole, 3 or 4 down by half time - it'll be horrible
  16. its not just that we're losing, its our performances that go with it - even when we beat bournemouth i thought we looked passionless and lethargic. something has gone badly wrong behind the scenes.
  17. clasie got muscled off the ball by lallana for liverpool's second goal - he needs to sort that out In terms of team investment, our benchmark appears to be the first choice 11 of two seasons ago and against them I think we are, at best, on a par. Trouble is other sides are investing to build their capability not sustain it, which means the net effect is we slip down the league as other sides are gradually getting better overall. Bit like in formula 1 (as incredibly dull as it is), teams that don't develop during the close season generally end up performing worse the following year. Our huge player churn with perceived like-for-like replacements is beginning to bite us on the a4se.
  18. The result wouldn't have been but our performance would - the bournemouth game being an example. Whilst we won, I didn't think we were convincing at all....same as against leicester. If stoke finished better they would have won by plenty. It's the lack of drive, urgency, desire and team cohesion that worries me.
  19. this will be a straight forward win for palace, we are now a very ordinary side
  20. we were absolute sh1t today....slow moving the ball and worryingly lacking in pace and sharpness. Yet again it seems we lack the team spirit that has been there for the past few years, they almost play as if they don't know each other. Wanyama was, yet again, dogsh1t....the number of times they had a free man in the middle was ridiculous and his passing is terrible. The long ball up to pelle is too predictable and teams come to SMS set up to deal with it. We need a plan b, we don't have one. I agree with some other posters - something doesn't seem right within the team as they are definitely not playing to potential. Whatever it is I hope they sort it soon. Spurs and Arsenal will hammer us if we serve up the same dross to them. If you take out the first dozen games from last season (assuming the mopo effect is real), it will be interesting to see what koemans record looks like.
  21. wanyama is careless and can't pass we only have four prem quality defenders, any injuries and we're screwed - we need some new ones, jose is reminding me of his dodgy championship season jwp ain't that good we need a new morgan and the version of big vic that concentrates and gives a t0ss we need our high energy pressing game back i look at spurs and am jealous
  22. Yoshida!!!! We're gonna get torn to shreds 5-0
  23. The same lads in their teen and 20s who own iphones..... Lots of generalisations going on here but i think the atmosphere is usually ok, however lets face it the game was dreadful and saints played the worst I have seen in ages. You can't blame the fans for saints performance - bit like claiming a comedian wasn't funny because the audience didn't laugh at his sh1t jokes.
  24. This......some at 38 mins today
  25. thought vic had another poor game - slow, bad passing and even bottled tackles. team just not up for it, no urgency at all and where has our pressing game gone. even though we lost I'd hate to be a stoke fan, having to watch that dross every week.
