I'm inclined to agree although Liverpool pressed and we did ok against them. Maybe the players are feeling a bit of pressure when at home.

klopp for the chop after sloppy kop flops caught on the hop by top flip flop saints

Leics are a battling side so I'm surprised romeu didn't play. The loss of davis instantly brought leics into the game. - our defensive ability through midfield is really poor, vic can't pass to save his life and had one of his slow games today. - we have no options if pelle isn't firing - mane was frustrating today - we still don't have strength in depth - we don't seem to play for each other, particularly the front line - far too casual at times Liverpool will ruin us next week if we play like that

I think he'll be gone by xmas and agree that a defeat to us tomorrow could well be the final straw. Interesting that he signed a new 4 year contract at the start of the season - maybe he saw this coming!

VVD looks like a class act to me, based on his swansea performance. I worked up in glasgow this week and, without exception, both rangers and celtic fans were saying how good he is.

its just like working for a business where you sign a contract and are bound by it, with the player making his own decision who he plays for and when. Restrictions on squad sizes would be key to it working, as would a stipulation that if a player wants to move within their contract then they would need to go on 'garden leave' for a certain period. Equally a club should be able to sack a player if he was in breach, without needing to pay him off. Business models of all clubs would need to change drastically, the best players would earn even more but with less professional contracts available across the industry. Can't see it happening. Capping agent fees could be done immediately however, with no negative impact.

nice to end it with a bunch of p1ssed up fans slurring their way through OWTS

wasn't it airflorida?

still looks a bit heavy on his feet and lacking sharpness, but today so much better. not sure how well he and pelle will play together - lots of times they could have passed to each other and didn't.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 3-0 Norwich City
Supersubpuckett replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
j-rod and pelle need to sort their telepathy out as they just don't seem on the same wavelength. targett and yoshi are easily the weak links at the back - once bertrand is back and we get vvd in, we will be pretty solid good game, good day -
every club is a selling club - the important thing is that at some point you need to draw the line. We've had a ropey start but we have just lost 50% of last seasons defence and with morgan went the control and orchestration he brought. On top of that bertrand and forster are missing - which is 80% of last seasons back 5. Furthermore clasie has been missing and we are waiting on romeo and vic to form an understanding. I'm not surprised we are struggling to find last seasons fluency. as has been said before we need to judge the ambitions and activity of the club once the window is shut but the reality of supporting any team is that players move on to advance their careers - just like we do in our jobs. none of us know what is really going on behind the scenes, including the media, so we have to choose to believe, question or dismiss all the speculation that the journos churn out to earn their money.

Norwich will come at us big time - they know we are under pressure and will look to exploit it right from the off. If we can get control of the game in the first ten minutes I think we'll be ok.
-
i reckon koeman has realised we're going to struggle this season and so the europa is now considered an unwanted distraction no wonder wanyama and mane want to leave - i would if i was them
-
utterly dreadful - there's more to this than team selection, something isn't right. The management have been quiet recently and the morale of the players looks shot. ....and targett is not ready for 1st team football.
-
apparently we had the easiest opening three games.......

sounds like we need to think about another RB

cedric was roasted by the everton forwards last week, sounds like the same is happening today

I can relate to this post. I've been taking my 12yr old since pardew took over and he's seen about two games a season - he's only ever seen us win! We live in SE London but he's saints through and through and yesterday was tough to take - he was silent on the way back to the car and driving up the M3 I looked over to see him shedding a few tears. He doesn't have a choice about going to the next game as we've got season tickets this year - lets hope the players show the same sort of passion otherwise it's going to be a traumatic year!!

be careful, once installed my desktop screen kept flashing for which I had to look up a solution on my phone leading me to revert back to 8.1......clearly some issues so i am going to wait a while so that any bugs can be fixed.

that kit looks like it will be a problem

elia is nowhere near good enough - he seems physically weak and mentally very flakey judging by the "i love you man" hug with mad eyes he gave rk when he scored against newcastle
