Will always think fondly of him. That goal away at West Brom is probably the last Saints goal I will have ever seen in person alongside my father.
His career didn't go as intended, but he clearly has ability. All the best to him.
This implies to me that the floodlights were installed on an lease/maintain type contract. With the company in administration the assets have been removed and taken back as part of some contractual clause.
The second v Arsenal on New Year's Day
The winner at Old Trafford
Bournemouth at home to help keep us up.
A lot has happened over the last 4 years with him in the side. Sorry to see him go.
Quite a good exhibition, went to have a look on my birthday. It's the kind of exhibit that would be best at St Mary's where it would have the greater context of it's surroundings.
Considering it's a mish-mash of donated items it is very well done and must have taken quite a lot of co-ordination. Very good for bringing back happy memories.
More from Coventry's perspective. There was the M69 Derby fixture, and during the 07/08 season where Coventry survived on the final day and Leicester dropped to league 1 there was a large amount of gloating towards the Foxes. Clearly things went on a different path for both sides after.
Reminded me of the same dynamic we have with someone like Reading when I lived there.
While the Pochettino season was underway, it was glorious. We were truly competitive and a threat to all teams. The football was high intensity and enjoyable. Some of the performances truly outstanding.
But my everlasting memory will always be the final game.... and a feeling of total emptiness. The team was going to be dismantled, it was so clear. Despite the joy of the many outstanding performances I left before the round of applause by the players to the fans. I couldn't feel invested in them knowing that this promising chapter was a false dawn.
So, it's not as simple a choice as 8th or 17th and a cup final. The Poch season gets the win..... just.
