  1. I note that none of the chocolate bar protagonists appear to be on here defending their actions, so I can only presume they are yet to come home from school.
  2. Cringeworthy is a very diplomatic way of describing it. Like a mass primary school outing in the second-half.
  3. Steve, where is your favourite Italian banker nowadays?
  4. My tickets are lower tier. No idea if that means we've sold out the upper tier.
  5. Yup. Smartphones are great things, but when muppets spend the whole game on them it kills the atmosphere. I was stood next to one such idiot at Denmark. He seemed offended by me trying to loudly support the team and spent most of the game looking at this message board on his phone. Complete tool.
  6. Sorry if already mentioned, but something else which does not help the atmosphere one iota at away games is the utterly horrific green away kit. YELLOWS!! YELLOWS!!
  7. I dare say there may be statistical evidence to prove your theory. However, in my (possibly misguided) opinion, I think that as fans we feel far more involved with the team, and also show a fair bit of pride in our team, if we can make as big a racket as possible. Yes, it's great to sell out our away allocation, but we could make a bit more noise. I remember the snowy midweek away game up at West Brom (Prutton etc) when we made a non-stop racket all game. Admittedly there was far more riding on the game, but we gave excellent support that night. Though I guess you could argue the result on the pitch was still the same.....
  8. My take on it is that Saints fans have never been hugely proactive in terms of vocal support. We tend to rely on the team to give us something to get excited about, rather than vice versa. Some people will doubtless quote Newcastle at home in 1995 when we scored 3 in the last 5 minutes after the tannoy announcement for the Archers to sit down, and 1 or 2 others from over the years. But in general we are "sing when we're winning" types. Thought our support was poor yesterday. But the game didn't help.
  9. Really? Is this true? Where did you see this??
  10. Who was the complete weirdo in our end towards the back with the dark sunglasses? Given that he seemed to be spending much of the game looking at this message board on his phone, I presume he's on here. Beyond me why you would travel all that way to watch a game and then faff about on your phone. Still, whatever floats your boat and all that.
  11. Yup, agreed.
  12. CTH Stadium 2 HD was decent for the last 10 mins of the first-half. Am going to try persisting with it.
  13. Am finding that each of these keep freezing up (am using the browser version). TSN3 is probably the best of a not very good bunch. How is everybody else doing with Sports Mania this afternoon?
  14. Could you possibly give me a call on 07779 082126, Billy? Cheers.
  15. I would love two tickets in the away end (I have two in the home end) and would more than happily buy them from you, but I don't see how you get round the Photo ID problem???
  16. Arguably a better pub crawl, in fairness.
  17. Sorry if I've missed it elsewhere, but have the Danish fans been given any official steer as to which pubs they should head for? I am presuming that in general the city has been rather more low-key in welcoming the Danes over than the Arnhem area was for Saints fans (?).
  18. Would be nice if those of us who are going in the home end in Denmark could have moved a couple of rungs up the ladder on the priority list.....
  19. Think Boscombe will be fine when Arter is fit and back in their side. He's a big miss for them when he's unavailable.
  20. Not a regular any more sadly, but when I go, it's in Block 1 / 2 of the Itchen Corner. For the bants and all that.
  21. Am wondering if there are going to be more Saints fans in the home sections in Denmark than in the away end, particularly if the away end hasn't sold out (???).
  22. There are times when one has to live a little.
