Well spotted. There is a sticky. It is about the nature of the forum & the Mods, and how the forum had declined and members had gone away to get on with real lives. Many argued that it was impossible to have sensible debates these days as threads become hijacked or people's opinions are attacked with abuse. This showed that the forum HAS actually changed, take THE single most divisive subject for us fans, one that we all hold the actual core same opnion on, but be "marginally controversial" with the angle and see whether we could actually have a sensible discussion. It has been interesting - sure some of the responses show people up for what they are, BUT there are some good points that have been made - without abuse. Lowe stayed too long, his basic concept of a PLC is now shown to be flawed, his personality and leadership style was not conducive to long term success. But, history also shows that he did leave a legacy, obviously SMS & The Academy being the key. Relevance? We had many arguments and opinions over the close season regarding NC and many comparisons to "Evil Dictators" and posters again taking the "aggressive negative" stance. (Which have of course quietened down now we have an Antonio clone on loan, and Adkins has won some games in a bit of style).. Nobody is perfect, but some decisions made are good ones, it shows much of the instant knee jerk reactions can be wide of the mark.
