  1. Semmens said the person is currently employed. So the delayed season and delayed transfer window will have an impact.
  2. Why can't you answer the 4 yes or no questions?
  3. An ABC news poll found... - 61% of Americans believe the account of creation in the Bible’s book of Genesis is “literally true” rather than a story meant as a “lesson.” - 60% percent believe in the story of Noah’s ark and a global flood - 64% agree that Moses parted the Red Sea to save fleeing Jews from their Egyptian captors These people are more likely to be Republican voters. Republican voters picked Trump... Trump impacts the world including you and me.
  4. It was him unable to read a 2nd paragraph... not me.
  5. I guess you decided to skip the second paragraph in my post which explain that!
  6. 1) Do people pray for others to be healed from cancer? Yes or No 2) Does cancer naturally go into remission? Yes or No 3) Yet do people claim it is the prayer that healed the cancer? Yes or No 4) Has an amputee ever grown a new leg? Yes or No
  7. If Mary from Tennessee runs for Governor or President then her actions based on her illogical beliefs impact others in wider society. It doesn't even need to be her running for office, beliefs impact actions and actions impact society. Collectively a large number of Americans believing Noah's flood literally happened impact on the global community. 8. Can you explain why I'm wrong about prayer? Apparently it works for cancer (which can go into remission on its own naturally)... but not amputees! Strange that!
  9. You were talking about the pub and barbers to attempt to show that names of places doesn't mean people who go there believe it is literal. That is irrelevant in the case of a pub or barbers. The Noah story has no bearing on a pint or a haircut. However the vast majority of people who go to a museum in a giant Noah's ark that claims the story literally happened would also believe it literally happened.
  10. Lots of Christians think it is literal. That is why they goto the Ark museum which claims the flood literally happened! How do you decide which bits of the Bible are metaphors and which bits aren't? Leaving it to interpretation leads to schisms and wars!
  11. 1) Why has prayer never grown a leg back for an amputee yet people claim it has healed them from cancer? 2) Could it be that cancer naturally can go into remission without medical treatment and people are thinking prayer did it? 3) Growing a new leg does not happen in nature for humans and so people cannot claim prayer grew a leg 4) The lack of amputees growing new limbs proves prayer does not work.
  12. That post does not move the goalposts. It is very much on topic of allegory and metaphor. So what is your answer?
  13. How do you decide which bits of the Bible are metaphors and which bits aren't? Leaving it to interpretation leads to schisms and wars! Why would a kind and loving god do that? He sounds inept at getting his message across!
  14. How do you decide which bits of the Bible are metaphors and which bits aren't? Leaving it to interpretation leads to schisms and wars!
  15. Yet again... another completely flawed comparison. - The name of a barbers or pub is irrelevant to getting a pint or haircut. - Why would a non literal Noah ark believing person want to visit this place...? It is a museum full of claims of the literal flood story! The exhibits claim it literally happened!
  16. This is deeply flawed and irrelevant as The Bible is claimed by many to be the infallible word of god. It is not comparable to a person using such phrases.
  17. Check your duck toaster for an answer...
  18. 1) The Bible is not abstract art. It is believed by millions to be the word of god. If people are deciding themselves which is literal and which isn't then that leads to an unclear message. 2) Well they do. Bible belt Americans believe in the literal Noah genocide flood story. There is a $100m theme park for the ark! 3) Millions of Christians believe the Bible is the word of god.
  19. 1) You said parts of it are not to be taken literally. Yet the book does not say that. 2) My point is that it is an inept god who wants his message to the world to be spread by a book that some think is literal and others think should not be all taken literally. That causes confusion. 3) 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion That is clearly false as there is confusion over to take it literally or not. Millions do and millions don't = confusion! 4) If a creator god is all knowing and knows the future it is logically impossible for humans to have free will. He knew when he created humans what they would do in the future and he created them in such a way that he knew their future... thus free will is impossible.
  20. Try actually answering the questions in that post. The book is supposed to be the word of god. It makes no attempt to explain that it is not all literal, nor does it tell you which parts are literal and which parts are not. 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion He clearly failed! As there is a huge amount of confusion over if you should believe the Noah story is literal. Millions think you should.... millions think you shouldn't. So God ****ed up getting his message across without confusion!
  21. 1) Can you direct me to where in the Bible says that not all of this should be taken literally? 2) Do you agree millions of people do take the Noah and creation stories literally? 3) Why would an intelligent God make it unclear which stories are supposed to be taken literally or not? Clearly he has failed making it clear as millions of people do take it literally. 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion He clearly failed! As there is a huge amount of confusion over if you should believe the Noah or creation story is literal. Millions think you should.... millions think you shouldn't. So God ****ed up getting his message across without confusion!
  22. Millions of people do believe that. 1) Can you direct me to where in the Bible says that not all of this should be taken literally? 2) Do you agree millions of people do take the creation story literally? 3) Why would an intelligent God make it unclear which stories are supposed to be taken literally or not? Clearly he has failed making it clear as millions of people do take it literally. 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion He clearly failed! As there is a huge amount of confusion over if you should beleive the Noah story is literal. Millions think you should.... millions think you shouldn't. So God ****ed up getting his message across without confusion!
  23. You have now proven you don't understand what a theory is! Put a dictionary on your birthday list.
