  1. There's a comment on that Echo article that someone emailed the Ticket Office, who replied stating details would be released on Mon. So, looks like the long wait will soon be over. I, for one, will be glad when this long embarassing saga can be put behind us and we can all look forward to next season.
  2. I have it on good authority that Pardew was extremely unhappy about a number of 'incidents' involving Lloydy. One of them was involving a 'lady of the night' in Wales, but was hushed up by the club. Another was a boozy fracas, also in Wales that got back to Pardew but never made the papers. This was just prior to the JPT Final and explains his lack of appearance in the game at all. From then on, his cards were marked.
  3. If we can shift: Molyneux, Forecast, Pulis, Wotton and Holmes. That'll be all the deadwood IMO.
  4. Me too. Let the delusion begin. I remember when we were first relegated and whilst I wasn't one of the 'we'll walk this league' brigade. I did expect us to be more competitive than we were. They are in a world of trouble compared to the shambles our squad was in when we went down. I think even if they escape a points deduction, they'll be lucky to stay up.
  5. LOL. Take the rose-tinted specs off. He's miles ahead of Waigo and Antonio, different player completely to Lallana and maybe on par with Puncheon. IMO would be a great signing, although we have bigger concerns elsewhere in the squad...
  6. What's Cortese's email address? I want to make sure he bucks up his ideas and starts stocking Ye Olde Ringwood Ale. Doesn't he know how many half pints he'll sell?
  7. Very good. You're on form early in the morning! Shouldn't you be sewing on that 'Motorhead' patch to the back of your leather jacket???
  8. If they don't start stocking real ales, I'm not renewing my ST.
  9. Would be a good signing for about 250K-500k. Over that and I'd be thinking we could get better for the price. No-one, is going to pay a mill for him.
  10. It would be nice. But, if he doesn't get a move to a lower league P'ship club or decent C'ship club, I'd be surprised. He's shown ability at the top flight in a pony side. He'd be cheapish, so can see a fair few teams being in for him.
  11. The Duke of Buckleigh would have bought them, but unfortunately he's had his head knocked clean off from a golf ball.
  12. Why would Fergie spend 20m on Bale when he's got Evra? Also, why would Bale go there knowing Evra will be first choice. Have a good think about it people... Re; the argument above about Holmes. When judging the success of a transfer, surely you have to look at how many games have been played. OK, a player can be unlucky with injury, but the about of games played gives a good indication: All comps: 16 (6) - 2 goals In two seasons, that's crap. End of.
  13. I love this quote. We are ALL pretty much German. Have a look and see where the Angles and Saxons came from...
  14. 'What I don't understand, is, if he was deaf and blind, why did they bother putting any money in?' Karl Pilkington (c.2004)
  15. I bid £10k and promise to give the money to charity, honest.
  16. As I see it: IN Semi - Def worth keeping for another year, has looked decent Connolly - Def worth same sort of deal as this season Antonio - Worth a year or two, is young and prob relatively low wages James - Again prob worth another year or two, can't see him progressing even to a good Championship player though OUT Thomas - Wages too high and we could pick up a better free to replace Wotton - Sh!te and can get a lot better on a free Lancashire - Shame, as I thought he had potential, turned out to be sh!te Molyneux - Sh!te Pulis - Sh!te Undecided Waigo - I think it all depends what may be out there as a replacement. I'm still a little unconvinced by Waigo Retired Perry Murty
  17. Bet he didn't.
  18. Good work again chaps, keep it up. Something else for me to listen to at work!
  19. Have we ever done a non-European Saints XI? I'm sure we have, but I'll have a go anyway: Grobellaar Viafara - Jaidi - Tahar - Chereidnik Fuller - Belmadi - Safri - Kachloul Jones - Delgado Subs: Torpedo, Chala, Gotsmanov, Brennan, Euell, John, Yahia, Kanchelskis, Ali Dia! Loans we've had, not included: Sarmiento, Camara Pretty dump side, apart from the attacking options...I'm sure I've forgotten some though?
  20. Rule 1. She would get it...
  21. Plus, as I remember. The reason why Leeds, B'mouth and Luton all couldn't get their CVA's was because the HMRC would not agree to it. On much, much less sums owed. HMRC will flex as much to power as they own to get back as much as possible. They have to. This is a massively public case and they can't be seen to be taking it easy on football clubs. Not when they're owed £11m odd - that would fund a couple of schools!
  22. I presume the land that Gaydamak owns around the stadium is registered to a separate company? So is protected if they go into Admin or Liquidation? If so, the Administrator will have fook all assets to sell. The stadium and the squad (both of dubious worth). What's the weather gonna be like next season? -20?!
  23. It got Ricky Gervais, Rameses II and Banksy, which I was pretty impressed with. Didn't get Grooverider though...
  24. Not a bad effort chaps. I listen to a lot of podcasts, the Guardian and The Times footy ones religiously. If you do continue, it would be nice if you could have a quick phone chat with special guests. Current players, ex-players telling their stories of the club, any coaches, physio or even the manager giving us a bit of insight. Maybe even Cortese would give you 5 mins! OK, so maybe over doing it, but surely you'd be able to dig up some ex-players to have a chat? Good work though...
  25. I'm just writing a Flash demo for a Student Debt Day and wanted some clipart to build into it. I've just done a Google image search on 'penniless' and a couple of pages in there's a pic of Storrie! Quality stuff.
