Didn't know anyone on Soccer Saturday had any sort of degree, let alone a 2:2. -
Tottenham build up thread ...a question posed

Lose of course, always want Spuds to lose. No brainer. -
Correct. Determining how someone plays from watching MOTD is just plain silly, but some do I know. Overall for 59 minutes Clasie was very poor yesterday, which is shame because he has been much better recently and I still think he will be a very important player for us next season.
-
The one that led to their goal of course. Simple people seem not to be able to see glaring mistakes because that player did something else well. Think tiddlywinks might be a little too complex for someone like you. Jeez, really do continue to wonder about some "people" on here.
-
He was very, very poor yesterday, misplaced passes and really could not get into the game, unusual because he has been getting quite good recently. Romeu was so much better when he came on. Still think Clasie will come good next season. J Rod was also very poor when he came on, really looked slow, I thought before that he looked OK, but seems to now have lost one of his major assets, his pace. Hopefully a good pre-season will resolve this. Other than Martina's cock up and JWP's cameo everyone else played really well yesterday, Tadic, Mane, Davis and especially Long were outstanding. We now have 3 equal top scorers in the League, Long, Mane and Pelle all on 10.

In the context of the original discussion, I was meaning specifically national sporting (football) journos. I stand by what I said in their case.

I was there too. Hard to believe it was 40 years ago.

The Gunners can boast a clean bill of health following the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to training this week. However, the winger is still a little short of match fitness and is unlikely to make the squad.
-
Possibly something to do with the end of the Spanish Civil War and the outbreak of WW2. Don't think we had much choice about his release.

Signed for us when United were in the 2nd division, as we were. They did win the 2nd division that season.

In case you get the opportunity might be best to avoid a handshake with Victor, it may be a family trait http://www.football-italia.net/83448/serie-b-mariga-ban-injuring-ref

But talks with Vic are happening. Ronald said so in press conference, with Les and agent (Ronald not involved). Don't think its clear cut at all that both or either will be off. Their ship sailed last summer, the same opportunities no longer exist in my view.
-
Maybe de Boer wants him in for when he takes over from Ronald in 2017.
-
Really not convinced anyone will come in with a serious offer for Vic anyway this Summer. Last year he was wanted. Arsenal would not go for him, and Spuds don't need him. Who else? Same with Mane in my opinion, their chance was last year and I don't see anyone seriously looking to take either off our hands this summer, at least not for what we would accept.

9 from 25 games, as opposed to our main striker who has the glorious amount of 10 from 27. Given Long has played many times as a winger/attacking MF rather than an out and out striker, actually getting 9 from 25 is a reasonably decent return. Mane by way of comparison has scored 7 from 34. (all data based on PL goals only). Yes if we need to improve we need a striker who can score more than 10 a season, but replacing Long is not the real answer is it? We need to upgrade #19 (and maybe we have with Austin). I think I'm right in saying that Pelle has played in more games when he hasn't scored that Long (no doubt someone will verify the accuracy of that statement). Of course its not all about their goals, there are other contributions that strikers make, but to have a go at Long really is missing the real point.

Nothing against Terry personally, but he was allegedly a nasty piece of work according to those that knew him, disliked by many in the Club. Doesn't take away from him being a great one-club man and a Saints hero. Same with Lawrie, his huge ego is what made him what he was. Is having a huge ego really that big a deal, for a football manager, after all some of the greatest are also guilty of the same, Mourinho, Fergie, Cloughy to name but three. If Lawrie was not liked by some in the Media, then hard luck, seems to be a plus point for him in my opinion. Well done Lawrie for ****ing off Media jerks , couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of ****s.

Why would they be docked points when the failed drugs test was after the Europa League match?
-
No need to send, its written clearly at the top of the Forum page. "100% Saints discussion. Please keep it on-topic and civil. Abusive behaviour is not welcomed." Pity so many do not follow the guidance and no-one does anything about it.
-
Lawro predicts 2-0 to us (fair enough) but thinks we are on course to follow last season's eighth-place finish with something very similar. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36091973

Everton are not top six. Vardy is all of the things you highlight, Leicester are "top one". You seem to have a vivid imagination when it comes to some of your observations about "foreign" players, if you seriously think Mane gets more vitriol than JWP or Steven Davis.
-
Couldn't decide between Ramirez and Lee, so decided to vote for Van Dijk instead. Really hard to see any genuine alternative.
-
Clearly must have been selected by Cortese, no-one else is capable of making such mistakes. Part of his legacy no doubt.

Top 4 guaranteed, technically not CL (even if you ignore that 4th place does not qualify for CL, only CL Qualifiers), but it would take Man City to win the CL and Liverpool to win the EL - ain't gonna happen is it. Also PL possible champions now down to 4 teams.
