Saints v Hartlepool first half, halftime and second half thread.

To be fair I've seen a lot of schoolboys score screamers from outside the box. It was something of a speciality for me when I played as a schoolboy. Didn't score many but when I did they were often screamers. -

As things stand, Lowe is now effectively costing us a play-off place. Think this is the first time that we would have been in the Top6 if it hadn't been for that **** getting us a 10 point penalty. -

Transmere was Saturday, in this country that is weekend. We didn't lose any of the others. How does that make us **** in midweek games? You couldn't make it up, the drivel your write sometimes (other times you talk a lot of sense, such as your opinions of Burley). -

What empirical data would that be then Alps? Do you mean based on our last mid-week game? If so then that is too small a sample to be statistically significant. Then again we won the midweek game before that 5-0. Previously 0-0, then 3-1 against MK Dons. In fact we haven't lost a midweek game since we lost to the Gas on 29 September (Colchester on 28 Dec does not cound as midweek, it was Bank Holiday). So much for your empirical data. -
27, does that include any monkeys or Frenchmen? I recall going to Blackburn away in about 1978 on a wet Tuesday (or Wednesday night) and thinking I was the only Saints supporter there. I suppose I wasn't but I never saw anyone else that night, and it was a long drive through the mist back to Oldham where I was working.

I trust none of the above are allowed in. But I guess if they have bought a ticket then they are entitled to a seat (unless it stopped a genuine supporter attending). By the way you forgot Wilde, given that I have the highest contempt for him of all the aforementioned, he should not be allowed anywhere near London, or even the mainland of England on the JPT Final day. As for Crouch and McMenemy, they should be honoured guests (assuming you mean Leon). If you mean Peter, then he is welcome as well, as long as he is not sitting in front of me or my daughter

There are losts of people called Mary...

There is a huge shortage of referees these days, many give up because of the abuse they receive at lower levels. Add to this that now every game has 4 appointed refs, whereas it used to be 3, this means that there is less quality these days and the top level takes the quality there is. In the 3rd division we are refereed by officials who quite frankly 20 years ago would not have made it above Hampshire League level. Why do we need a PL qualified ref to be the 4th official? Its debatable whether this position needs to be a qualified referee at all, at best he (she) needs to be capable of running the line in an emergency.

Hopefully the jet lag coming back over the pond will **** them up for the next game

Disagree. Think you will find the core of the first team will be the same. Possible doubts in my view are Lallana and Spiderman. They were not brought in by AP and so have not "bought into" the plans. There will hopefully be severa; squad players who will be shown the exit as well as non-playing staff such as Pulis and Molyneux. Lambert will still be here in my opinion, will move on if we are not in promotion spots next Jan, not before. If he has any sense he will realise that he is not really PL standard, but sadly money talks louder than sense.

Agree with what you say except the bit about the JPT. It is just as important to win the JPT as well. Losing that would do more damage to our confidence than any other result. The intensity should remain whatever the competition. There is no point resting anyone when we only have 11 games left to play this season.

Imagine it could have been quite a small flag and still covered all of them. Embarrassing 16.5k yesterday, with a large following from Hull, large areas of the dump empty, best fans in the world, my arse.
-
I think if you are genuine about thanking someone, then spelling their name correctly is the least you can do, don't you Rickard? BTW I would not be seen dead in a Vectra, thanks.
-
It would also be stupid to spell Markus' name incorrectly on a flag. Perhaps Vielen dank Markus would be better

Thomas injured in training - misses Wembley

Sad for Wayne, but ironic really, given that he was extremely fortunate not to have been red-carded in the Area Final 2nd leg. Still, his passion that night was there for all to see and he must be gutted. -
Just consider whether you would wear a blue football top in the Saints end, then you will understand.
-
God, not that old chestnut again, whatever happened to originality
-
Have we ever beaten a team 4 times this century?
-
Bugger the play-offs, Swindon's equaliser means we can still win the bloody league. Now what did I do with that weed
-
We can still win the League
-
So as things stand thats winning the league out of the window then
-
Apart from the last 3 of course!!

Some people are never satisfied

No, it is better if this fella signs for the opposition...

If you consider a defender old at 30 (31 in May) then I suppose he is old. Personally find that most defenders are coming into their prime in late 20s/early 30s
