Feck the summer, he needs to be sacked while it is still Spring. We need him out as soon as the final whistle goes against Forest. New people in and planning for next season as soon as possible, there will be a huge amount to do building a completely new squad, because almost all of the shower of ****e that currently play in the 1st team need to go as well (James, Davis & Saeijs would be my only exceptions, plus Gillett & Holmes).
-
We DID great escapes, when we had players and management who were up for it. Our current shower of ****e know they won't be here next season and have already given up. Face it. WE have been relegated since before Christmas, our only hope then was getting shot of the Dutch crap, but we didn't. And of course if we weren't relegated we would get 10 points deducted. Reality is sometimes hard to swallow.

Keep the corners open next season Close the sides and ends
-
Accepted this a long time ago, now what we need is to get the financial situation sorted quickly, get rid of Wotte and other sundry Dutchmen, and get a new manager in with a complete close season to build a new team from scratch for League One. Clear out all the dross, keep only James and Gillett (Davis if he will stay), everyone else of the 1st team squad out
-
While that may be true, Jan Poortvliet and Mark Wotte wouldn't have done. I think you are being highly disingenuous, the reason they have won is because NP put together a good team, of mainly young players with a spine of experience. NP proved that he was the right man to work with the youngsters, as his CV showed. We may not have been promoted with him this season, but we sure as hell wouldn't be down and out either.
-
He did, after unsuccessful trials at Ipswich and Middlesbro as well, it was before 1980 so probably was Lawrie Mac, but clealry he wasn't that only one that was not impressed. Probably a good thing in the end, we had Le God, doubtful both would have been successful in the same team, like for England

Don't get me wrong I have no time for Lowe (or Wilde), but the comment about the mortgage debt is just plain wrong. In the 2 or 3 years after we moved to SMS the mortgage debt was reduced quite considerably according to the accounts at the time, Lowe did make sure that it was being paid off at least as fast if not faster than was required. Some may argue that he did this rather than invest in the team, and that argument has some validity I guess. Blame Lowe for the (many) things that we should, but don't blame him for (the few) things that he did actually do well. Meant to add the the comments about Lawrie are below the belt, and come from someone who clearly has no understanding of what he did for us and the Club. To say that winning the FA Cup was down to the players is missing the point completely. That team was assembled and fashioned by Lawrie. Of course it is a joint thing, but I don't think that team would have won the Cup if lawrie hadn't been there. Then of course promotion followed the next season with a team completely rebuilt by Lawrie, hardly any players remained from 76, then league Cup Final 2 years later.

Why didn't Crouch save us from administration?
VectisSaint replied to Nineteen Canteen's topic in The Saints
trying to shift the blame for Lowe and Wilde's massive ****-ups onto Crouch is really quite pointless at this stage. -
Maybe they'll give us a sub
-
Don't see the relevance to away fans. When was the last time 8000 Saints fans went to an away game? The number who go to away games and have been boycotting home games because of Lowe must number in the tens, not thousands. The crowds have been down more because of **** football/results than because of Lowe, though that clearly did have an effect.

Also, look at Leeds, they picked up very soon after he arrived there. He was one of the biggest losses to us, but hardly gets a mention. I once worked out the points average with Snodin and without him, and it was remarkable how his arrival/departure coincided with our poor results (no idea what I did with that now). Its no great surprise, lots of managers only really work well with a decent assistant, Hoddle as a case in point, with Gorman he was very successful, without he was pants. Arry is the same, Joe Jordan is a huge factor in his success I'm sure.
-
Please not Jesse, we've had enough cowboys already, thought we were shot of them now
-
We never achieved the same league position since Glyn Snodin left. The other fact is that although no-one thinks admin is a good thing, there was no way we were ever going to be taken over while we were a plc, therefore as long as someone comes along we will be better off no that Lowe has gone. Of course if no-one comes along, then we will be in the same position as we would have been with Lowe still here, i.e. ****ed

Why no message from the FOOTBALL CLUB board in the matchday programme?
VectisSaint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Thanks, bit of a concern that there is this closeness between the Administrators running the plc, and the people running the Football Club. Given the FL investigation, I would feel more comfortable if this difference was as great as possible, this seems to me to muddy the waters somewhat. -
Does ant one know 4 across?

Looking in Google he is head of some accountancy outfit in Chelmsford, hopefully not connected in any way to the Administrators. Also appears to be father of some minor soap celeb who I have never heard of called Kara  Not clear why we need another accountant on the FC Board, would have seemed more sensible to have someone who knew something about football, but perhaps that is too obvious. -

Have I missed something, who is Ken Tointon? -
But thats the problem the punishment does not act as a deterrent (sp?), the directors who caused the problem have not paid any price at all. It is the players and supporters who have been punished, just as it will be when the FL impose a penalty on us, Lowe & Wilde will get away with it scot-free.

Probably not Sky, just our age-old Forest bogey. They have always done us like a kipper.
-
Have to agree, he is the one and only youngster that will come out of this awful season and become a better player next term. The other kids that have played regularly have not really progressed, indeed in some cases (Surman, Lallana) have gone backwards, always the danger when you rely too much on youngsters. James may not have had the greatest season this year, but he will be a terrific asset next year based on a solid year's experience.

Looks like we had the same idea, and it must have worked, WOOT!
-
Perhaps if we moved the goal posts we might score. Do you think anyone would notice?
-
We won't score today then...
