who wants us to go into admin and/or wotte to fail
Arizona replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
Don't think anyone wants Wotte to fail or admin. Wotte seems to be confusing people wanting him to fail with people wanting him out because he is a s**t manager who has done nothing to turn our fortunes around. -
If he's blind, they could call him Mr Bellend for all the difference it makes.

I said sort of.

Shakhtar aren't even that good. Currently 5th in the Ukrainian Prem, 12 points behind Dynamo Kiev.
-
Oh what a fantastic goal from Shakhtar! 2-0!!

I'm afraid you are badly mistaken there. Nelson was infact on deck wearing his replica Pompey shirt, when he was picked out by French snipers and shot 437 times.

It shows that we have ability, but it doesn't mean we are capable of that kind of performance on a regular basis. This season Derby have beaten Man Utd, Stoke and Burnley have beaten Arsenal. It doesn't mean they're underperforming and have more tallent than they show on a day to day basis.

 Could add a bit of grit to our team.

Surely you could apply that logic to 2002 when we beat Arsenal at SMS when they were one of, if not the, best team in Europe. And the same again in 2003 when we became the first team to beat Man Utd in the League for almost a year. You cannot just take one instance where we caught one of the big guns with their pants down and claim that is our level. Every now and then you get a game where pretty much the whole side plays a blinder, like we did at Reading. BWP scored twice in a game for only the second time in his career, and one of those was a header. That sound like the BWP we all know and love? We aren't inconsistent. Just a bad team that had three good performances (if you can't Derby and Brum) in about 35 games. All of them came against poor sides.

If we'd stuck with Jan, I don't think we'd be any better off at all. Probably just playing the old formation instead. I think the problem has been that many of our players just aren't CCC standard and some of the ones which are aren't being used to their full potential. Jan picked various starting line-ups, but never the right one. I think the Reading game was just a one off. Reading were very poor and we did play well. Both goals were scored by BWP, who has barely played since. As for Jan playing attractive football, I'm sorry I must have missed that. Granted I've only seen a handful of games, but other than Reading, I don't think we've played good football since we beat a (very poor) Derby side. Passing it around a lot and never putting a decent ball into the box isn't exciting IMO.

Darren Powell. I know we aren't picking people for lack of ability, but Christ on a bike he was bad. I mean really really bad. Disney couldn't make up a wicked witch as bad as bad as Darren Powell. Oh, and Marcus Bent, Darren Huckerby, Ade Akinbeye and Robet Pires because they always scored against us. And John Westwood. And Darren... oh wait I've said him. And Kenwyne Jones. I'm also surprised skate boomerang Peter Crouch doesn't get more stick. Bottled it at Fratton park, then sent off at Palace for taking a petulant swing at at Ventola (I think). And Dean Keily. Laugh a minute when he comes to SMS.

Better yet, that track is quick but very short.

Lowe - Transfers are none of my business, I just sign the cheques. Wilde - No, I'll make my own decisions thanks Wotte - 2 draws and a defeat is a poor start. We don't seem to be improving at all. Redknapp - The players here are brilliant, I just can't get the best out of them. Northam - There's only one Ian Branfoot Chapel - Anything at all. Skacel - Rupert and Mike are like older brothers to me. Powell - Actually, my knee feels fine BWP - So I sprung the offside trap, rounded the 'keeper and finished off the 1-on-1 with a tap in. Rasiak - It's not fair. No matter how much I run my a**e off, I can't seem to score. Le Tiss - Sh*t, I don't think I've got enough Weight Watcher points left for this salad. Hammill - I think I need to work on my step overs a bit more. Kachloul - Money isn't important to me, I just want to play for Saints. Pahars - Play up Pompey! Beattie - Actually, I don't fancy a muffin right now.
-
And you thought we were bad last year. Rasiak vs Bury John vs Norwich Euell vs Blackpool

Sheff Utd last season Remember in the UEFA Cup season we did the double over Wolves, Spuds and Liverpool. Those were the days...

:-s Pretty horrific picture to make a demotivator from. The jet killed 85 of those people it's about to plough into. -
Peter Reid for Manager - campaign needed..

Evening Mark. When you start making the correct team selections, substitutions and the teams looks anything remotely like an improvement on Poortaloo's team, THEN I will get a bit more enthusiastic. Until then this is Wigley MkII as far as I'm concerned. -
Whereas we wouldn't have paid that much up front for the wages of anyone at this club. Assuming one of those players was on £10k a week, that's £0.5m a year. Given the choice of keeping Rasiak or Saga for the final 2 years of their contract OR Morgan Schneiderlin, I know who I'd go for. As for the Arsenal thing, surely bullsh*t. Just an agent trying to big up his player. I have my doubts as to whether he is even CCC material. He wouldn't get into any promotion chasing CCC teams, never in a million years into a Prem side. Arsenal? No fookin' way.

Lowe's biggest mistakes, in order: 1. Sacking Pearson. If he hadn't, he wouldn't have had the chance to make mistakes 2 and 3 and we'd probably be midtable. 2. Appointing Wotte. Poortvliet was a poor decision, but at least we had the chance to appoint someone better when it didn't work out. With Wotte we don't. He was our final throw of the dice and I have zero confidence it will work. 3. Appointing Poortvliet. Crazy experiment. Why the f**k would he get us playing exciting passing football just because he's f**king dutch. Maybe we should get a Thai manager and an entirely female squad, then we can teach them to fire the ball's from their... you get the idea. 4. Signing Morgan Schneiderlin. Even aside from his Pahars-esq injury problems that the medical didn't pick up on, spending £1.2m on some French teenager, then claiming we can't afford Rasiak, John, Saga or Pearson's wages really p*sses me off.
