  1. I'd not object to a Rule One Katharina Liebherr nip slip pic, if someone posted one. Although seeing as she was only photographed for the first time last week, I fear one may not be easy to come by without the aid of photoshop.

    New CEO Thread

A long standing relationship with Spielberg is key - we could bring him in and use his dramatic nous to spice up the highlight reels on the big screens before kick off!
  3. An OK window would be no outs, no ins. A good window would be no outs, 1 in. (CB preferably.) An outstanding window would be no outs (besides Forte, Barnard, Sharp and Martin, all whom we get cash for), everyone under 27 to sign new 7 years contracts and a CB, attacking midfielder, striker, left back and GK coming in, all of whom are Champions League standard and all who don't mind sitting on the bench when their positional rival is preferred to them. :-D My guess is the former.
  4. I heard that too. The consortium consists of Rupes, Zippy from Rainbow, Miley Cyrus's publicist, me, and the ghost of Bobby Darin.
  5. He might have overtaken MLT's record by then. Or he'll do a Ted Bates, and be a player, manager, director and president. Then we can commission someone to do a truly awful statue of him.
  6. I has idea for new profile picture...
  7. On the first page: "The Kiss of Death page". Yep, sure was. That's why I'm uncomfortable on here when people announce things prematurely...
  8. She owns SFC. What's not to like!
  9. Katharina Liebherr? I would.
  10. There's a flagrant absence of Rule 1 here....
  11. I know of a Dalian Atkinson. Proper football man he is too. However I'm not sure he has enough money to buy the club, he only had an average footballing career. I know also of a Wanda Sykes. She's had a relatively successful film and television career. I'm not sure that she's be the right person to take over the club though. Dalian Wanda I've never heard of. I hope this information is useful.
  12. Wanyama vs Altidore would be an amazing spectacle.
  13. Perhaps. I guess we'll make do with Twitter updates for now.
  14. I work for the Tube, and have just been given an official warning. Apparently accosting random commuters and tourists and asking whether they'd heard about a Cortese takeover is not in my job description.
  15. Glad Pochettino is staying, that is definitely good news in that it is stabilising for the club in these uncertain times and is perhaps the best chance we had of not losing key players. I hope his commitment to last until the summer rings true. Have we heard from any players today? I've been at work today so aside from following TalkSport I don't know the goings on of the day. It'd be comforting to hear from, say, Kelvin, just to know what the concensus is like in the dressing room.
  16. The unveiling of Cortese's leaving present, Juan Mata, will make for a lovely press conference. :-D
  17. I like Only Fools, I like Vicar Of Dibley. Owen Newitt was as good a character as Trigger. Sad news, he was so close to 70 too. RIP.

    Will MP Leave

I wonder if the theory of Cortese returning to buy the club has any sway in Pochettino's decision to stay, if he indeed does. Maybe I'm just looking for silver linings. My greatest worry is losing the players that SFC has so lovingly grouped together. Lovren, Wanyama, Clyne, Shaw, Lallana and Morgan in particular would be great losses, virtually irreplaceable. I'm not panicking..... yet.

If Pochettino doesn't go, then I wonder what Cortese said to him in that meeting....
  20. I'd like King Midas to be our owner. Everything he touches turns to gold. And gold is good for a football club. Not David Gold though.
  21. Be careful, it might look like an 'inny' but they have surgery nowadays to cut off 'outeys' and make them look like 'innys'.
  22. I'd like someone to come in that can see what we're trying to achieve - be as successful as can be whilst being stable financially, bringing through youth to become first team players, evolution not revolution - and keep the status quo. So someone wealthy, but that's not prepared to come in and change everything radically like Allam and Tan. As for rich Sheikhs or Americans buying the club? I'm really not sure. Sure, success for a club we've all supported and had in our hearts for years would be great, but how sustainable is it? If the owner pulls out, how financially screwed would we be? I want to be supporting Southampton on my deathbed in 50 years, not watching the club die in 5 years.
